My heat, my quilts and hot caramel mocha, outside nope not going thereEnjoy.
I just triple checked my calendar, it's June 17th and I just turned my heat on. Last night was horrible. I kept waking up and getting an extra blanket. I woke up with 6 blankets and no sleep. I hope shivering counts s exercise. Send heat and hot coffee. Come here little groundhog
That was number 3 if I remember correctly. As soon as the boys are moving I'm going to take a nap.wow, 6 blankets! You need an electric blanket. I love mine....in the winter.
Never been but I've heard in 1972 that Mickey and Donald used to jet ski on Seven Seas Lagoon in front of the Contemporary pulled by a speedboat. That would be a sight to see!
So funny. Not kidding but I was wondering how you were doing yesterday when I was driving my youngest to cheer practice. My one sister in law teaches up in Clifton and still is in school. Wondered if Brick was done for the year. Doing well though although it is cold. 49 here this morning.I came on this thread tonight because it just dawned on me that I have not had any interaction with my friend @MySmallWorldof4 in waaaayyyy too long.
How are you?
Where is everyone? Were you super early?
LSoH??Sorry, “ketchupping” as per usual, but, thank you so much...!!!
Large indeed, and remember, DWifey’s Mom’s side is even larger.
And, there were also many that didn’t show, due to scheduling conflicts. As the families grow and spread out, more show up, but, less of the total don’t/can’t...I think that makes sense...?!!!!!
Either way, it’s heartwarming, and it seems that enough are interested in continuing it for many years to come...!!!!!
And, can’t wait for our dear lil’ Audrey...!!!!!!!
And, don’t worry, I’ve kept quiet regarding any LSoH references...!!!!!
One of my step dads friends (passed away 3 years ago), was a water skier at Cypress Gardens in the early 60’s. Saw pictures. Pretty cool.I love waterski shows! Reminds me of one I saw (maybe around early 2000's) at the old Cypress Gardens park in FL.
Same. And some of our windows on the first floor were a little open. Closed them all after dh went to work. Our backdoor screen door glass lowers so that you can have it as a screen or total glass. It was partially lowered and so much cold was coming in. I raised it back to all glass. I have some kids coming today and was hoping they’d be able to use the pool and not be in the house today but with overnight being in the 40’s it won’t heat up enough by 10.I just triple checked my calendar, it's June 17th and I just turned my heat on. And PA.In Jersey?!
So cool @MySmallWorldof4 that we coincidentally thought about each other within the same 24 hours. So funny. And PA.
Need some 90’s here asap!Basically the Northeast is the only part of the country not dying of heat right now.

Are you sure you don't have a fever? Can we switch weather??I just triple checked my calendar, it's June 17th and I just turned my heat on. Last night was horrible. I had heard a rumor that Legoland was going to start them up again. I never checked it out. Does anyone know if they did or not? That was a fun show to watch unless it was 100 degrees with 100% humidity. Then the ice show inside was more fun.I love waterski shows! Reminds me of one I saw (maybe around early 2000's) at the old Cypress Gardens park in FL.
I wouldn't say that we are "dying" of heat in NC. Yes, it is warm but it is summer and summer can get warm. Add to that a bit of climate change and it is a little warmer. However, I have been looking at the boards all winter to a constant display of grieving about how cold it was and how everyone couldn't wait until summer, even sacrificing innocent ground hogs and, I assume, offering them up to the weather gods in the hope that all that cold would stop. Now it's here and the reverse argument is trending once again. Make up your mind folks, hot or cold or perhaps relocation. Life is short my friends, being miserable year round should not be part of that process.Basically the Northeast is the only part of the country not dying of heat right now.
I remember seeing Goofy waterskiing there when I was a kid and we were on the ferry over to MK. Must have been in the 80s?Never been but I've heard in 1972 that Mickey and Donald used to jet ski on Seven Seas Lagoon in front of the Contemporary pulled by a speedboat. That would be a sight to see!
