My DD says if the mattress is good, you don’t need a box spring. They have a solid wooden base for her mattress to support it. She says she doesn’t miss one. We’ve always had one so we will see.
The bed I am looking at is both a gel and wrapped coils so it should be supports with a solid base.
When we lived with my in-laws, we didn't have a box spring, only a mattress on a frame, and I HATED that bed. I could not get comfortable, always woke up achy in the morning. I won't ever go without a box spring again. It really killed my joints. Maybe the mattress was just poor quality, but it's not a chance I'm willing to take.

It made international news! It was on the news here. I didn't catch how they got into that predicament, but saw that they were rescued.
Not sure if this one made the (international) news (and it wasn't the diver's fault -- he's been doing this for 40 years). But he ended up in the sight of a humpback whale, in the waters off Cape Cod. Then the whale swallowed him! But then spit him out about half minute later!! :jawdrop: The man only ended up with some bruises. :p

I've attended games at Fenway and sat in the green monster section. I think the scoreboard is still the old fashioned way with staff operating it using number cards . I'm not even a Boston fan but I like the nostalgic feeling of the place. I think Wrigley in Chicago was unique back in the day. The stadium had no lights so night games could not be played.
I never follow baseball, but I am well familiar with that park. Now, this was many years ago, but when I was a teenager, one of my brothers rented an ice cream truck and would park it outside of the park. Quite a few people would buy ice cream before heading inside to the game.

My brother (who was about 18 at the time) didn't have any sort of city vendor's permit to sell there, so we often would have to sell quick, and move quick when the patrol officer headed in our direction. :p (He'd move the truck around about 3-4 times during the game.)

Some of the other vendors had a permit; while some others (without permits) did the cat and mouse routine like us. Lastly, we heard (anecdotally) that there were also some, without permits, that "donated" a few dollars and/or food, to the patrol cop who would somehow not notice that the vendor did not display a permit. ;) Hee hee, it was the pulse of the city back then, sort of a street code/vibe thing. There were no secrets. (Nowadays, that area is pretty much locked down in enforced regulations for all outside independent vendors.)

Is anyone watching the Euros....(soccer tournament not the money). Watching the game during the week is hard for anyone not in Europe due to the time difference but I know Italy won yesterday.

I want England or Germany to win. Just like every time the Euros/World Cup is on. Italy, France and Germany would be my home countries though so I guess I'm biased towards them too. Portugal would be one too but I don't like Ronaldo.
