Ours is well beyond 8 years, and never gave it a second thought! :p Oh, another question -- if you don't have a box spring, is it still comfortable with just a mattress, on a platform? (I'm wondering just how much a box spring provides in comfort level. We have a box spring set.) Lastly, as a tidbit I learned ages ago (not sure if it still applies), but (at least it used to be) that if you tried to shop around for the best set (hypothetical example only, let's say Serta, model 5 star), you could never find the 5 star model name in any other store. So you couldn't compare prices. Turns out that (years ago, anyway), the mattress companies had some sort of deal with the furniture stores that they'd make mattresses with different model names for each -- so a customer couldn't compare prices.) :cautious: Again, haven't looked for a new mattress in many years, so I don't know if that is still the case anymore -- hopefully not.
My DD says if the mattress is good, you don’t need a box spring. They have a solid wooden base for her mattress to support it. She says she doesn’t miss one. We’ve always had one so we will see.
The bed I am looking at is both a gel and wrapped coils so it should be supports with a solid base.

We have had nearly a week of overcast skies. Have had plenty of measurable rain. It may rain all of today and it will only be in the 60’s.
93, and maybe some rain around 2. Not going to hold my breath, though. Earlier this week, we had a day with 75% chance of rain. And it did rain. But not at my house. 2 blocks over, I saw puddles in the road and on the sidewalk. My house was bone dry. Not even a misting.

Before the pandemic hit, I planned on going to some of the different stadiums every season, starting with the east coast. I've already been to Philadelphia years ago, and the first set I wanted to go to were Washington, Pittsburgh and possibly Boston if I could afford it. I'll probably do Boston some time next month.
Too bad the O's don't play a series against the Nats this year in DC. We thought of going to see the O's in Anaheim when we were out there years ago. Basically, if the Orioles aren't involved, I don't care. 🙃 Even though we do stink. Except on Sunday; that was fun.

Yeah I'll probably be at the Yard before the season ends. Right now though that's low on the list. One of the stadiums that's high on my bucket list is the Diamondbacks stadium. Maybe next season.
