You should have told her that the ghost of Hamilton has taken over your house and is manipulating your echos :p
I had a friend give me an echo for Christmas. She is starting to get upset because I haven't set it up yet. It is still in the box. I'm consider myself pretty progressive for an old guy, but I don't have any need for it and even though I know that my cell phone is connected to everything, at least it isn't picking up every time someone passes gas in the place. I have enough of big brother in action all around me. I did have one thought about how I might be able to use it though. If I had it in my bedroom at night would I be able to get through to 911 by asking Alexa in case of an emergency.

Well.. when you're that small.. I do not think wind is an issue.
Ok, I will lead myself out. Anyone got a Honda to spare? :hilarious:

I use it for music, ordering the lights on, asking for the weather in the morning, setting timers, etc. My grandma has them too. She listens to music with it. She has all kinds of gadgets. It makes me feel better since she lives alone. She's got an Apple watch with fall alert, but if she happens to not be wearing it, then the Echo is there for backup.

Do you have any more idea about when she will be competing? You said she'll compete at least twice, right? Once for each team she's on? And then more if they do well in that first stage? Is there a day that is set aside for a group she's not involved in so you know you'll have that day free? I'd snap up passes quickly if you know. Otherwise you run the risk that they run out again. But I read that Disney has a new policy of canceling park reservations if people don't have valid tickets. I guess people were reserving days before they bought tickets and then not releasing them when they changed their trips? Or maybe it was that they were booking trips to get the reservations for a specific day, then canceling the booking, but keeping the reservations even though they didn't have tickets...like they were keeping them so they could still change their minds. So Disney is canceling those reservations if the person doesn't have valid tickets 48 hours before the day of their reservation. So it's possible that there will be day-of reservations when Disney releases those back into the system.
Currently she is competing a week from Thursday. Both her teams are 20 minutes apart so that has to get fixed. One warms up while the other competes. Sort of impossible to be two places at once. Hopefully they space the two teams a bit better once they finalize the schedule. The plan is to get acclimated to the heat Tuesday and Wednesday. Probably going to do DS Tuesday and Wednesday going to Uni. Going to get a one day one park pass for Studios.

It's cold, windy with a chance of rain. I'm cooking to warm up my house. First up braised chicken and mushrooms with broccoli and basmatti rice, next up chick pea curry with sweet potatoes and veggies hence a large batch of rice
We had super strong winds yesterday. A neighbors tree fell. One of youngest’s friends trampoline blew away a few houses down. It was being held down by 200 lbs of sand! Funny thing is her mom texts me later and said her brilliant daughter decided in the wind to take her air track (air mattress for tumbling) outside. She said “why?” when her mom said “no!” 🤣

I ordered some new blinds from Amazon for our dining room. The plan is to slowly change out all of them as they are 10 years old and looking like they are way past their prime. They arrived yesterday. I was so excited. They look so good. Dh went to try and put them in and they were 1/2 inch too big. 😢 I only got them that big because one review said to order up a size from the measurement. 🤦‍♀️ I reordered the next size down yesterday. Was just looking forward to seeing them up yesterday. These are them.

Put it on the bathroom, imo. You aren't going to do much talking in there so it minimizes any uncle sam big brother vibes or whatever. But listening to music while you shower is amazing.

Plus if they do listen in all they get is poop noises!

So, I’m watchin’ “The Shining” on AMC. Not really a fan of horror movies, but, channel-surfed into the beginning if it, and many consider it a “classic”, and I’ve never seen it all the way through, so...
Then I notice the kids sweater...!!!!! :hilarious:

We caught it on the big screen during a summer horror fest and it was HILARIOUS. At home it's a bit scary, but on the big screen you notice every facial tick jack nicholson makes and it's just a riot.
