This is why we no longer order from Dominos pizza here. When they first opened, we ordered online for pickup at 5:30. My husband got there at 5:15, but we had ordered earlier in the day...like a couple of hours before. So my husband goes in and he waits and waits and waits and they never have our order ready. Finally, he goes and asks if they can give him an approximate time our order will be ready. The guy says they are really busy and they are making the orders in the order they come in. My husband was thinking "Really? ALL these people ordered before we did, more than 2 hours ago?" So he waits. Then he sees all these people coming in and getting their orders while he's still waiting. So he goes back and asks if they are sure, and can they PLEASE look it up for him. They finally ask his name. They had completely skipped over us. They were already doing orders that came in AFTER our pickup time. They gave him some free drinks and stuff to make up for it.

Then a year or 2 ago, we ordered chicken...we don't have a KFC in our town, and Fried Chicken isn't a Dutch thing. So when Dominos started selling chicken, we were thrilled. We ordered some chicken strips and milk shakes, and some other stuff, I don't remember...maybe garlic bread knots? Anyway, we ordered for delivery, because my husband was somewhere with A and they were eating something else and weren't going to be home to drive us to pick up our food. I ordered it for 5:30. 7:30 rolled around and still nothing. I had tried to call several times. The first time, they picked up, said they were swamped and it could be 30 more minutes. 45 minutes later, when I called again, they let it ring and ring, and then they picked it up and just hung up right away. I thought it was a mistake, so I tried again. That happened 3 or 4 times. As soon as I called, they picked up and just hung up right away. My husband got home and we told him we were still waiting, and it was more than 2 hours late by that point. So he went to the store. They were supposed to be open, but everything was locked up and there was a group of workers sitting inside all together doing nothing...like 8 of them. He knocks, they come and answer the door, he explains. They tell him they are swamped. There's no one there except workers, who are all sitting there talking and eating and not working....no one in the kitchen area. They tell him our order is on the counter if he wants to take it. He tells them it's so late now that he wants his money back. They try to get rid of him by telling him they'll credit it in a couple of days. He says no, you'll write it down on the receipt and sign it so if it doesn't show up, I can come back and have proof. So they did, he grabs the food they said was ours and brings it home. We open it, it is NOT our order, and the chicken strips that they did have were burnt and everything was cold. Basically, it was food they messed up and couldn't sell and had sitting on the counter and they told my husband it was our order to get rid of him. And sure enough, the money never showed up. We looked up reviews and there were several people who had ordered that night who never got their orders and had the same problem that no one would answer the phones or would just hang up on them. My husband called them and demanded to speak to a manager and she said it was her first day...they had replaced the old manager and hadn't told her anything about our issue. She gave us a coupon for a free pizza in addition to giving us the money back for the order we never got. I looked up more reviews recently, and people consistently say it took hours before their food got there, etc. So apparently new management has not improved the situation.

I don't think you did anything wrong by telling them time was up. Sometimes you just have to.
Wow! A Dominos wouldn’t last by us more than a month if they treated customers like that here. There are so many pizza options around here. Their work ethic at that Dominos by you is shameful. No pride whatsoever.

@StarWarsGirl I don't blame you for talking to a manger at Qdoba, a couple minute delay can be expect but not a 30 minute delay. I've never eaten at a Qdoba, is it similar to Chipotle?
It is, except guac is free. I generally like Qdoba better and this one has been well run in the past.

I've never had to threaten to speak with a manager before, so that was a new experience for me.

I'm not even sure where my nearest Domino's or Hut is:inlove: I do know there's a Blaze at Livingston Mall, can't stand chain "pizza" for the most part
