The joy of living in the warmer states is that there is no swapping out. What I wear in the winter is also what I wear in the summer. Even shorts. There is a couple months when I have to wear long pants and a windbreaker, But, even the summer requires that occasionally. And there are usually a few days in those two months that lets me wear them. 50 degrees is the magic number. That leaves me with closets that remain the same year round. My extreme weather, cold and snow, jackets, only take up about 4 inches of my entrance closet so they hang there, patiently wait for an outing. Sadly, for them. they haven't left my closet except to move to my new apartment since the day I left Vermont, April 15, 2011. Kinda reminds you of all the dishes, teapots and cups in Beauty and the Beast. Right now it's 83 degree outside me apartment.

I would say I was free to do so, but at the time I wouldn't exactly call it a luxury. I lived alone. Both my daughters had already moved down here and I had to pack everything, get rid of stuff that I had accumulated for years. I had a shed full of tools, snow blower, weed whackers (2) lawn mower, gas grill, closets full of junk that all had to go one way of the other. The most difficult stuff was in my second bedroom that I used as an office and spare room. Talk about junk. I had to get covers for the mattresses, dinner ware that was from family living, that means a lot of pieces. Damn, I getting exhausted just listing stuff. I got Nationwide movers, they took care of everything taped close to death every item in moving blankets. My car was full, thank goodness it was my Cadillac.

The passenger side was full the back seat was was completely filled up along with the trunk. When my stuff finally arrived 5 days later all they did was unload and take their blankets. I had decided to buy a new bedroom set so my main bedroom was empty basically everything I owned that was bulk and undefinable was left in there. I drove from Milton, Vt. to a hotel in Albany, NY April 15th and it was spitting snow. I had a cd playing of the Beatles "I'll follow the sun" playing on repeat for about an hour or at least until I crossed the border from VT. to NY.

That is the first time that my age really started to show. I was almost 63 at the time. When I got out of the car in Albany to get my hotel room my legs were like rubber. I had to hold myself up and slowly move my legs to get them working and for me to put one foot in front of the other. It only happened that one time and I think it was because the first thing the movers put on the truck was the furniture so there was no place to sit all day long.

Good to know that they will televise it. (I can't help but feel bad for the Queen -- my goodness, they were together for 73 years. ) She met him when she was only 13.
One other interesting tidbit I read and Meghan Markle had to comply with is no one is allowed to start their meal until the Queen does and when the Queen is finished with her meal then everyone present must stop eating.

Allergy shots.
My younger brother and I started allergy shots when we were kids. I can tell you Allergy shots does not fix everything from my own experience. Allergy shots prevent me from getting asthma attacks, but not does not prevent stuff like a runny nose and watery eyes in all cases.

Back in September of 2017 as an adult, the Orlando airport was dog central. The airport was dog central on September 7th. I am not referring to security dogs, but people's pets. I know people were leaving their Florida trip early on September 7th because of Hurricane Irma. People were leaving Florida early. What happened to me was I had sneezing and Watery eyes at the Airport. I did not suffer an asthma attack because of the allergy shots. That was not the first time my dog allergies acted up despite the allergy shots.

Now it's real Friday:joyfull:
That is the beauty and curse of being retired. Everyday is a weekend to the point of having to look at the date line on the computer to know what day it is. Even today I spent all day thinking it was Sunday. I didn't do anything related to being a Sunday because every day is the same as the last. Maybe one more ache and pain someplace that is new, but other then that it matters not. I do know when my Social Security Check gets deposited, other than that it doesn't really matter. I never needed an activity calendar because I always remembered. I keep my Google Calendar updated to let me know that we have reached Tuesday and I have an appointment. I knew that I had the appointment and the date already. What I didn't know was what the hell that day was. What did people do before computers?

In the 1980s and early 90s we had day timers that could fit in our pockets and we wrote down anything important. I had wall calendars that I could write appts, reminders, dates, times etc. In companies I worked for senior mgrs who had their own admin assistants that did a lot of this planning reminders etc for them.

Am I the only one who hates swapping clothes for the changing seasons? My stuff got done rather quickly but going through the boys' stuff:hungover::rolleyes::cautious::bawling::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: I was hoping for some sewing time today:(
I know where you are coming from. April is not a great month for clothes for Wisconsin because you need to keep out long sleeves besides short sleeves. From the April 3rd to the 7th, it was in the 70s. Right now, its in a 50's as a high in for the next week coming up and one of the days has a high of 50 degrees.
