@93boomer Love your spring pictures, especially the daffodils. I have a few spring flowers starting too.

Aww thanks! I love those purple crocuses!!

All the flowers are pretty. :inlove:

The purple crocuses remind me of my father (may he RIP). Every spring, those would be his very first flowers to appear, at the side of the house. They were amazingly sturdy as well -- I recall a few times they'd even push up through some (minimal) snow cover on the ground!

No one can drive in this state to begin with -- can't wait to see all the craziness during this new implementation. :hilarious:
omg you don't have to tell me twice. I had someone (2 days in a row) just pull out in front of me while I was going 50 mph. It's like they debated going or not going and by the time they go...it's too late.

The thing I hate the most which I believe every state is guilty of. No blinkers

I especially hate people that weave inside in and out of lanes on the highway like there is no one else on the road and those who wait last minute to take an exit. I think CT has a law where you must use a blinker but over state lines....forget about it.

A cop can pull you over for improper lane change.

Fyi: You might enjoy the highway sign renumbering frolics going on in MA. The report below outlines a lot of what's currently going on, and what's coming up next for the future of this large highway project.

Interesting.
As far back as I can remember anyway, TxDOT has always used the mileage system for exits.

Emporia, VA has a lot of speed traps as well.

Years ago, a little town called Selma, just north of San Antonio on I-35, was a widely-known, notorious speed trap.
The little courthouse and jail were just off the northbound access road. Back in the day, I-35 was just 2 lanes each way with a grass median. The Sheriff could be sittin’ off the shoulder of the southbound lanes, spot someone speeding north, just whip across the southbound lanes and grass, and nail ‘em. Pretty sure that was the main source of revenue for the town coffers back then...!!!!! :hilarious:
That ol’ Sheriff is long gone now, and with the expansion of the interstate, the installation of all kinds of barriers, etc., it would be impossible to run that operation that way now.
Not sure if it still is, but, not all that long ago the old courthouse and jail building was occupied by a Hooters...talk about irony...!!!!!!! :joyfull::hilarious:

My top 3 driving pet peeves, in order...
* Tailgaters. (Not handegg ;))
* Left lane bandits.
* No turn signal usage.

If you’re behind me, and I’m already doin’ 5 mph over the speed limit, on a two-lane, tree-lined, shoulder-less, hilly, blind curve road, and you’re ridin’ my rear bumper, all you’re gonna’ do is torque me off, and I’m gonna’ slow down even more. Threatened assault with a deadly weapon, AFAIC.

I don’t care what the speed limit is, or how fast you’re goin’, move your rear over to the right lane if you’re not actively passing another vehicle. Even if your doin’ 95 mph, someone else will always wanna’ go faster, and even cops will tell you to just get the heck out of their way.

Last time I checked, turn signals have been standard equipment for eons. Short of an emergency lane change situation, if you’re too friggin’ lazy or stupid to lift your arm enough to flick on (or off) a turn signal, you shouldn’t have a drivers license.

The value of our home (mostly the dirt it’s sittin’ on ;)) has gone up another $30,000+ since I last checked a few weeks ago...5.7+ times what we paid for it...!!!!! :hilarious:
Again, we could sell it and make a killin’, but, where would we move...?!?!?! :cyclops:🤔🤷‍♂️:bored::D:hilarious:

Also, a lady that lived 2 houses down from us on the same side of our street for over 2 decades, recently sold her house. Whoever bought it spent about 2 weeks doin’ some upgrades, and it’s now on the market for what we consider an astronomical amount. But, with the lack of existing inventory vs. demand, and bidding wars goin’ on ‘round here these days, they’ll probably get more... :cyclops:

We've got some in my area called professional flippers. Buy homes, then for the next several weeks , multiple contractors rehab the home inside and outside, put home back on the market, at a higher selling price, sell at a nice profit.
