What are Kapono's movie preferences? Is she more into current films such as, A Dog's Purpose; or is she more of a retro gal, preferring the old classics, such as Lassie Come Home? 🐶

She enjoys many movies but often falls asleep during them. She does like Romantic Comedies, Hallmark movies, and old classics. This morning we watched an old movie with Cary Grant and Irene Dunne and there was a dog often in it, she seemed to enjoy the scenes with the dog.

All dogs are. :hilarious:
My parents first dog as a married couple was interesting to say the least when it comes to different forms of media based on what I was told. My dad got a collie from a co-worker before I was born. That dog according to my parents makes sounds of a chicken when it hears the Chicken Dance on tv and other types of media when the dog was alive. My parents told me the dog must have learned those sounds before they got her.

Wow. I can't believe how quickly her facial features have matured -- (not sure if that's the actual expression -- in other words, developed from baby features into little girl features), especially over this past year. She's a cute kid, that's for sure! ❤️

Uh oh. Hope it has a happy ending, but this start doesn't sound good.
I was not digging the vibe from our primary. On Friday, I suggested Brian call our prior primary, and I was even willing to go to our prior once removed (?) and pay out of pocket for an office visit if need be.

Since our current didn’t call back as promised on Friday, we printed out extra papers last night (in case they lost them) and when I went to our current this morning, Brian went to our prior with duplicates...

I left the house right at 8:30, and called the office on the way so they could get the papers and have them ready (and I would find out whether they were done.)

After a few minutes on hold, they told me Brian’s was ready, but I didn’t qualify.

😳

I said I was in the parking lot and would be right up. I was in no mood for this! I have asthma, since childhood, until today. I do not get “attacks” but I have near constant respiratory challenges. We all read the story of the guy who completely outgrew asthma from childhood, went to WDW, got COVID and died. I’m worse than he was for sure.

I walked in there with camera rolling and when they asked me to turn it off, I asked, “Why? You don’t want people to know you don’t care if I live or die?”

She said they looked at my chart and I didn’t qualify. I asked if they saw the inhalers prescribed every month for the last several months? I asked what could you tell from my chart, I’ve only been coming here a year?

Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you get your paperwork? Do you need an alibi? I know this may not be the best time to start shopping for a new doctor but maybe you should keep your ears open. Did both of you manage to get your shots?

What she said!

I asked who made the decision, I need to speak with them. She said the Doctor, but he isn't here. (He hasn't been in for weeks, some kind of personal issues, the office is on very short hours with only the PA) so I called her out on that BS. He isn't here, but he made the decision? I work with the public every day, I've been patiently waiting for this (being high risk) and I need them to sign the paper.

"Brian qualifies, you don't."

I asked what could you tell from my chart, I’ve only been coming here a year?

She said then go back to your old doctor.

!!!

I said we've had different insurance every year for the past three years, all with different primaries, but at least go get Brian's paperwork.

At this point, Brian called me. He said the prior primary signed everything, no questions asked, no appointment, no charge. For both of us.

She came back with Brian's paperwork, and I told her I don't need it. I tried to tell her we did what she said: while I was here, Brian was at our previous doctor, and he signed everything for both of us. She was shouting over me repeatedly, "Brian qualifies, you don't! Brian qualifies, you don't!" I said I do, and I'm getting my shot in an hour - along with a new primary, because you literally don't care if I live or die, and were acting like this was too much trouble all along.

/drama.

Publix was excellent. They are scheduling people one at a time, 15 minutes apart, so there's no line or anything.

We both got our first Moderna shots today, and we are scheduled for our second shot on April 5.

From what I have read, we will have a good degree of immunity (like around 90%) after two weeks, and then it goes up to 95% two weeks after the second one - and it's good with most current variants, which are all down here in South Florida.

I didn't even call her any names until I got into the elevator, under my breath.

Why do people have to stress me out?! LOL.

Next negotiation: 2PM: store lease.

HOLY HELL! Getting a stinking vaccine during a pandemic should NOT be that hard! (I also use inhalers and now I'm wondering if when I qualify I should bring the print-out from the pharmacy with all the info on it.)

My mom tried using the state website here in MA to get an appointment near her and my step-dad, but getting an appointment was basically impossible. She called 211 (general information line used for various things, but now set up to handle helping with COVID appointments), and it took 5 days, but the woman at 211 managed to get them appointments at the same time. They have to drive about 60 miles into the city, but she's not griping about that because she's just happy they have appointments and that they're at the same time. They're both over 70. She is a smoker and is asthmatic, and he is a 3x cancer survivor who is still very weak and also had open heart surgery in between bouts of cancer.
