Thank you for that because that is exactly what I was thinking. I figured we could enjoy some free cruises from DS to Port Orleans and maybe eat there. We are staying with the rest of the group at Holiday Inn Orange Lake. The gym owners have a time share there. There are a lot of amenities there as well and we could enjoy theirs. With short hours I'd make this a relaxing resort only trip. I can't see springing for tickets unless you know you'll be in the park
Is that a joke? Those shrimp look rather paltry(Said in snootiness British accent).
Currently 62! Truth be told, the thermometer may be a tad off who cares.
Quiet.@Swarles Barkley. How was work today?
My dad unfortunately is not very handy. My grandfather's were both car guys. My mother can jump start a vehicle in her sleep; my dad and I it's like Greek. We understand on a basic level how things work, but when it comes to doing repairs, we are not very handy. My mother is the better between my two parents with doing repairs and such around the house, although she also doesn't do oil changes or anything. I think both of us are too afraid of messing up with such expensive machinery. I usually just take my car to the dealership and if I think something fishy is going on, then I call my uncle and ask him for advice. Not being critical, but that is so much of the country today. No one knows how to do anything on their own. I'm not saying that just because one knows how to do stuff they necessarily have to do it, but it was always comforting for me to know that if I had to, I could take care of things myself. My Dad taught me that. He was what I used to call a Renaissance Man. He could do, with significant skill a lot of different things. He had been a truck driver, a diesel mechanic, restored, from trash, a Model A Ford, built our first house nail by nail, maintained until a week before his death, his and my mothers house, was asked to sing at special occasions like Weddings, couldn't read music but could pick out a tune on the piano. Among other things.
That is what made me obsessed with teaching my girls how to do, at least, basic repair on their own vehicles. I didn't intend that they were going to do it, I just wanted them not to be at the mercy of slick repair people that see women coming from a mile away. It has come in handy for them a number of times over the years.
But it's going to be like that for a while as we can only accept online/phone orders and have the collected or delivered contactlessly. Even with the shop being closed to the public we still have to wear masks all day.Quiet.

The sad one was my aunt. She's getting divorced after being married at 18. Her husband always insisted he do anything mechanical because he believed women shouldn't do that (yeah, hence the divorce). I drove her car when I was down there, and I brought it back and told her that her tires were low. She told me that the sensor was bad. I checked. The sensor wasn't bad; she was running on low tire pressure. And then she didn't know how to put air in the tires; I had to show her, along with showing her where the Max PSI is on the tires. I also changed her wiper blades because they were horrible.
Love that show.I wish I was handy. There is a show I watch on PBS (I thought it was a new show for it started on season 1 after a few episode went right to season 4) about a British couple who bought a 40 room chateau in France for 250,000 pounds. Minus a few things, the guy and friends (free labor) does everything himself.
Right through the Disney site and make a park reservation at the same time. @MySmallWorldof4 rumor has it avoid UNI on the weekends as it's beyond busyPlus, I think (if you wanted / depending upon whatever variables in the daily plans), you could still buy even a 1-day ticket to WDW, right? (I'm assuming that the regular ticket booths are still there in front of all the parks -- so I don't think you have to order online ahead of time, etc.).
So the good thing is that you can continue with your plans as scheduled, off-site; but you might also have the option of a day at one of the parks, if you want. Best of both worlds!
Well, that is all basic, important and money saving things to do. A few years after my divorce I dated a lady that hired people to put windshield washer solvent in the wiper tank, never checked the oil and if she saw the check engine light go on she would just put a Band-Aid over it so she couldn't see it. Noises were solved by a louder stereo volume. My dad unfortunately is not very handy. My grandfather's were both car guys. Those last two seem perfectly logicalWell, that is all basic, important and money saving things to do. Sounds fun. Just FYI, PO has yet to re-open, with no date in sight. Maybe ride through the air, or do a monorail crawl.Thank you for that because that is exactly what I was thinking.
