@MinnieM123 I'm hoping for a foot and a half of snow
otherwise we'll get dangerous icing conditions, enough to take down trees

I've been gone so much in the year of CoVid thanks to remote work...Negative 13 wind chill. I hate COVID. I‘d so have booked a trip to WDW like I did last year And the year before When the weather became ridiculous.
I'm getting Crocs flip flops(sale, coupon plus free shipping) and I'm making steak and mushrooms for the guys. All 3 are easy to buy forThat's beautiful. We were having a Valentines challenge, trying to figure out what the heck to get for each other today, because what we really miss (and want) is to have a special dinner out, at a restaurant.
So, (you'll think I'm crazy), but aside of a really nice card I got for him, I also bought him a box of face masks. Yes, I know -- how boring and practical of me, but I told him that the point of Valentines Day is to tell someone you love them -- and the sentiment behind the face masks, is that they will protect him. (O.k. It's tough to be creative during a pandemic. ) Meanwhile his approach was more traditional, and gave me a box of Valentine chocolates.
The lesser of 2 evils. If the chance of ice tomorrow remains the same as now I'll be cooking all morning from the time I get up I was hoping to do an easy walk on the rebounder.Yes, SNOW!!
(No, to ice. )
We are picking up Mexican takeout.I'm getting Crocs flip flops(sale, coupon plus free shipping) and I'm making steak and mushrooms for the guys. All 3 are easy to buy for
We're going nowhere tomorrowWe are picking up Mexican takeout.
We haven't been able to go anywhere further than 26 miles from my home since last March ...We're going nowhere tomorrow
This may have been answered already, but I read it that if it weren't for Covid, she would be able to escape the cold by heading to Disney, but she doesn't feel safe traveling because of Covid so she's stuck at home in the frigid weather. I can relate...not that I so much want to escape the weather, just that I wish we could travel. But borders are closed, we're on lockdown, including a curfew, with no end in sight. Our cases today were higher than yesterday again, and they don't know how much is weather related...they had to shut down the test streets for a couple of days because of the snow, so people had to reschedule. They don't know how big of an impact that had on the number of positive tests each day once they were able to open again. But no traveling for us. So that's how I read it....that it's a bummer to be stuck at home instead of heading to the warmth. Are those two thoughts connected in a way that isn't obvious to me? OK, it finally hit me if not for Covid you would have gone to WDW.
BTW, you can still book one, it just is much more difficult to go. Sorry, probably not a humorous subject.
I'm not sure we've even been that far from home since thenWe haven't been able to go anywhere further than 26 miles from my home since last March ...
But you could if you wanted to.I'm not sure we've even been that far from home since then
No, I still have some cousins and my aunt alive in the USA.Glad you are feeling better, but I'm sorry about the job search. I'm betting it's difficult right now, especially because so many businesses are having to lay off employees rather than hiring new people.
And I'm sorry for your loss. Was he your only family in the US?
I'm glad my photos inspired you for food that you ultimately enjoyed. Best wishes for wisdom and good results with "E"Happy Valentines day! We ordered Japanese food. We were going to do Chinese, then I saw @SteveBrickNJ 's pictures and it looked so good, I changed my mind and we ordered Tepanyaki instead. Well, DH ordered sushi. The steak was sooooo good.
Poor E is coughing and sneezing up a storm, and her throat is sore, but she doesn't have a fever. As long as she doesn't have a fever, I'm not sure I should have her tested again....I don't know. I hope the rest of us don't catch it though!
Not by muchBut you could if you wanted to.
I made a road trip last week. I drove to I-95 on I-64, then I-95 to I-40 and back to Raleigh. I51 miles just to get me out of the house. Never got out of the car, but it was a nice change of scenery. Not by much

Driving on I-95 always triggers nice memories of when we would take our family road trip to go from Vermont to WDW. Mostly on I-95. I always feel happy when on that road. I understand that it is hated by a lot of people, but I only associate it with happy times.
