It was really good, but I'm not sure I like the texture of the dumplings cooked in the broth, so I think next time, I'll make the soup mixture, then I'll transfer it to a baking pan and spoon the dumpling dough on top and bake it like my mom's recipe so they are golden brown like biscuits. My husband didn't like it at all, and I was kind of prepared for that, because he also doesn't really like chicken a la king...I think there's something about creamy chicken and bread mixture that he just doesn't like. I think he's not really a chicken person anyway. He doesn't really like baked chicken, he doesn't like fried chicken...he'll eat some things with chicken, like Alfredo, but he's more of a beef person. To each his own, I guess. E and I liked it a lot.
Wouldn't that make biscuits?

Did you buy from a family friend or something? That's a LOT of cookies!! I don't see any thin mints....are they hidden or are you one of the few people who won't eat those?

Nope, none of our family friends have kiddos that are remotely close to that young anymore, and all of Megan and Daniel’s friends kiddos are way younger than that...!!!!! :hilarious:
We entered our neighborhood on the way back from Saturday Donuts With Emmy, and several houses down the street 3 Girl Scouts waved at us from a yard with a table, cover, and all set up. We drove past initially and then said “Oh, what the heck!!!” and turned around. It was 2 Daisies, a Brownie, and two moms. We were their first customers for the morning, and definitely made their day...we told them to challenge everyone else that stopped to buy as many as we did...!!!!! :hilarious:

I’ll fill you guys in later, but this used to be the front of Brian’s car (pic is from a Disney trip full of love bugs.)

After most of yesterday in the hospital, he is home with two broken ribs. He is in pain, but still doing his schoolwork in bed today.

Thank God for airbags.

That's really, really frightening. How is Brian today? Sorry to hear he was injured, but at least at home. Prayers to the two of you.

It still had to be towed, but was nowhere near as damaged. Folks inside were fine - again, thank God. I’m guessing this all would have been worse had he hit a lower vehicle.

It was a head-on collision, and B was at fault. After working 16 hours, he was 2 blocks away from work after closing. It’s a less-traveled curved road leading from a warehouse district to the main road. He said he got in the car, started to go, windows fogged up, he turned on wipers but couldn’t see and drifted into the oncoming traffic lane.
