BTW, what did everyone get for Christmas...?!
I got the 5 Disney t-shirts I asked Santa for ;), plus the Bob Thomas Walt Disney biography (one of the few I hadn’t read - Neal Gabler’s was certainly extensive...!!!!! :hilarious:), and an iPhone 12 Max Pro. But, I’m still waitin’ on an OtterBox case to be delivered, so I’m still on my iPhone 8+.
Woe is me...!!!!! :( :D🤪:hilarious::rolleyes:;)

Oh, and there was more money, too...!!!!! :greedy::hilarious:
I got a fancy electric nail file and some fabric I normally wouldn't spring for. The guys got Legos, clothes and yet more clothes, video game stuff and movies and one got a NASA hat

I liked Up. We have a soft spot for Dug in our house
I liked UP a lot. It was a fun story after you get through the heart wrenching beginning. Even I the, guy that has been more then once, accused of being dead from the heart up got teary eyed with the start. I didn't think that a cartoon would be capable of conveying that much emotion. I know that Walt judged the success of Snow White by the audience reaction to her assumed death, but even though it was felt I don't think it was anywhere as deeply as the projected on Carl. I was a little offended by the characterization of Russell as a chubby little scout. That would be because that is my actual name and I was never a scout. (yea, scout that's the ticket).

I thought INSIDE OUT was a very imaginative movie and very bright and even with its dark spots was pretty upbeat. I also felt that it would be a perfect theme to fill the painful void that is the current Imagination Pavilion. I could almost picture some of the possible scenes (sets) that could be used and even though it is one of those, hated by some, movie connections the whole concept is a workable long range thing like the original Imagination was. I even felt that the introduction could be set up on the turntable concept of the original. It could have been used to introduce all the characters and then inside connect the emotions to a positive ending. The Memory Orbs would have made a spectacular section.

Now if only I can get some Disney exec. to see my Inside Out idea I can be heading down the road to riches. How's that for imagination?!?!

Since we're talking kid movies right now, we watched Trolls World Tour last night and something really irks me...

at the end of the first movie, poppy and branch were clearly a couple. They loved each other and sang about it, held hands for the rest of the movie, and led the whole last ballad together, like, together together. But somehow is a HUGE plot point in the new movie that they're just friends and branch doesn't know how to tell her that he loves her. Like,... What?! It's worse than Kristoff spending the whole movie bumbling with his proposal.
