Jack is in the doghouse (again). This time he outdid himself. :banghead: Hubs put his dental appliance/denture on counter for a minute, while he stepped away. Guess what 4-legged beast grabbed it off the counter and mauled it to pieces? We anticipate that will be (approx.) $1,500 to replace (no dental insurance anymore), and dentist is booked solid for a few weeks. 🤦‍♀️ (His top teeth are fine; it's the bottom that he had many extractions, so that's why he needs it.) He can still manage to eat with the few teeth on the bottom that he still has, but obviously, that's far from ideal.

I didn't vote because I always wind up voting for Brad's:banghead:

That's okay if you vote for him. His was on the left. I showed my students the houses on Zoom today and I kept who did which house a secret and the majority voted for mine. Most of the kids know my husband through church and other volunteer stuff he's done, so some kids said they liked whichever one was his even though they didn't know which one he did ! :D

It must have been the weekend for car problems!!
Hubby’s Dad calls yesterday - says he is in trouble. (Everything is trouble these days according to him.) His car keys are stuck in the car and he can’t get them out. But, he can’t explain how they are stuck. ( he is 90 and mind is going) It takes us about 30 mts to get there so hubby calls a neighbor. 1 FIL doesn’t need to be driving at his age 2 he lied to hubby saying his Mom needed groceries so needed the car 3 hubby talked to Mom and she said she wasn’t out of anything 4 waited until 3:00 when he knew it all day🤦🏻‍♀️ Neighbor called and FIL had turned the front wheels so the key wouldn’t come out plus left the lights on. The groceries that were important—he ran out of snuff😡
Good grief, "snuff"? Where does he live in the 1700's?

I actually like Brad's houses as well. I think it's fun to see how people decorate differently. So, maybe let him know that he gets an honorable mention for his artistic talents.

I think he did a good job too. He probably would have done better had he agreed to use the piping bag for the frosting earlier than he did. He thought putting the frosting on with his fingers was better than the precision of the bag.

Bad Jack, I'm sure he feels bad. Super bummer for your hubs though, maybe the dentist will get a cancelation.

I sowwry long week bad news

Yea, we’re all a little on edge these days, for obvious reasons.
Sorry for my overreaction, as well.
I just needed to step away and cool down.
This carp is just gettin’ beyond old, and it looks likes its just gonna’ get worse again before it, hopefully, gets better, and then eradicated.
Plus, it doesn’t help that it’s the Holidays and we can’t have our usual family gatherings, etc.
I haven’t been able to hug Emmy, oldest DD, or mom and pop for goin’ on 10 months now. The office protocols continue, and some have gotten more stringent.
We had planned to take enough time off work to properly quarantine and test, so we could have Christmas inside Emmy, Megan, and Daniel’s home, but, with Megan expecting again, and the fact that Matthew can’t get off work long enough to properly quarantine and test, that’s now a bust. It was Megan’s suggestion/idea, and we were really excited.
But, no pity party, as others have had it much worse, including the unimaginable pain of loosing family and friends. We all continue to remain healthy, and feel extremely thankful, grateful, and blessed for that.
Also, I hope the bad news wasn’t too terrible.
Prayers.
