As some of you know I usually make gift baskets up for some relatives for Christmas/winter holiday gifts. They're filled with various pickles, jams, chutneys, sauces, cookies and such. Seeing this year is very different I'm making boxes filled with some different types of items lysol wipes, hand sanitizer, fancy syrups I didn't make, candy and a homemade Christmas ornament and mask some will also include a gift card or other homemade item. I was originally thinking about including the usual homemade canned items but the odds of getting jars back in time for canning season next year amount to slim and none not to mention the cost and danger of shipping glass. At least I timed the fancy syrup buying perfectly because I got them 30% off and free shipping:joyfull:

It still sounds like a lovely and thoughtful gift basket. I am sure that your relatives will love them and will really appreciate the homemade stuff next year. :)

My daughter in law bought a new Ford Focus just paid it off not long after she had it the transmission went on it (12months ago repaired by dealer). Yesterday going to work the same thing happened, had it towed to the dealer and they would not give her a loaner while it is repaired (took 2 weeks last time). Evidently there was a class action suit and repairs are covered and may be able to apply for a buy back (will investigate). Any one else out there with similar issues with Ford transmissions cars involved Fusion,Focus,Fiesta
@Captain Sweatpants makes fun of me for it, but this is why I drive a Honda and not a US-made car...

Now that you've devoured that free, delicious meal, just keep hinting at the boss every day.

Be subtle . . . like this guy . . . :p

My oldest son has been battling ulcerative colitis for 2 months (in and to of the hospital). He has lost over thirty lbs. lucky my wife is a retired ICU nurse and has been with him and can guide my daughter in law on getting medical things done. They started him finally on Humira and he seems to be doing slightly better, he can eat and not have the unbearable pain he has been experiencing for the last 2 months. Asking a pray that this drug puts him in remission and he can regain his strength back
