And a good way to make guests not to make a trip to Disney for the Holidays. Nothing to see here.
Maybe some, but I'm sure there are lots of people who are just happy to be there and don't go for the fireworks shows or lighting. We were there for 2 weeks last Summer and the only show we went to was Illuminations once with the cousins, and Fantasmic one night. We didn't bother with Rivers of light, and the one time we tried to watch HEA, we were so late that we didn't actually get to see anything. I was staring at a kid's butt the whole time because his dad had him up on his shoulders and I couldn't move in such a way to see anything. We didn't bother to try again. It's just not that important to us. I guess it depends on the guests. For me, the lighting and shows aren't a deal breaker. Now, if they shut down World Showcase, I'd have a problem. And I have to say without Voices of Liberty, it wouldn't be the same for me. I have a much bigger issue with that than I do with no night time shows, etc.

The beginnings of more 3D model fun...!!! :)

I'm curious about something in this picture, and it's about the elongated roofs (in some parts of the structure).

Especially with the left and right (lower structures, in forefront of picture) --not the actual tip top of the buildings, but lower down. There are "things" that sort of extend out beyond window and roof lines. Also, is the lower building on the right a garage, and if so, why is the piece over the garage doors extending out there as well?

This is why I'm not an architectural designer -- anything more complicated than a regular square box, even on all sides, throws me into a tizzy. :hilarious:

I've never been there during the holidays either;, but I can tell you that from years of reading posts from forum members, the decorations, shows, etc., that WDW puts on for that, are outstanding. They are a major draw to the parks during that time.

So whether guests are local. or from out of state. or country, this will be a big disappointment to many.

I understand the whole point is the draw to see decorations but if no one is coming and your not making money, why bother. But Christmas is wonderful, mostly at Magic Kingdom and the resorts.

I am with you on that. We won’t miss the shows so much. The fireworks we watch once then we usually skip them a second time to ride rides or leave the park.
That being said, I do love the decorations during Fall and Christmas.

Time to send my sling shot in for a tune up

Oh my gosh! We watch the same weather guy! I saw that he posted this video this morning and I didn’t want to click it, so I didn’t. Focused right now on a massive cleaning. Sleepover weekend. Three extra 9 year olds, plus I invited two other kiddos to come over tomorrow and do tie dye shirts. What have I done? ;):hilarious:

Yeah I remember so many of your plans and itineraries went sideways. Traveling with anyone with special needs does require going with the flow. Traveling with someone that needs alone time and changes plans at will does not really scream enjoying the little things. I remember your frustrations. Maybe next time with just you and your DD you’ll be able to take in a few.

Some of the CMs have outstanding voices and their productions are tops. They were sorely missed when Disney reopened without the contract CMs I saw photos but until I saw the Lights on the Castle in person I didn’t understand how awesome it was. I am still mourning the Osborn Lights and the WinterLights at Epcot.

It's been a really pleasant trip down here. Most guests are following social distancing protocols. I've barely seen anyone wearing their masks improperly. Lines have been short.

I really haven't seen any poor guest behavior down here. It seems like the majority of poor guest behavior comes from guests who are like "I paid all this money to come here and I will do what I want!" Most people here seem to be regular visitors who don't have that attitude.
