This is the one of the views I had for the last two days. I met a friend there in Ocean Isle, NC It was such a nice thing to think about other then the rest of the world and country. If the name sounds familiar, Ocean Isle is where Hurricane Isaias made landfall a few weeks ago. They cleaned up quickly and except for a couple of things being repaired it was impossible to tell. Anyway, doing this and calling it a vacation manages to create a lot of questions like "you're retired, so a vacation from what?". It means the we put a lot of effort into doing nothing in a different place and spending some of our children's Inheritance.

Just remembered I haven't been to the beach in years. I think beaches are best in September and October, after the crowds are gone. Even swimming aside, I think early mornings are beautiful with the wide open space, and sounds of the water, etc. Great time to either take long walks or jog, if you prefer.

That is the biggest one I've ever seen!

Oh this isn't even the largest one. This vendor usually has ones that are about 10 inches in diameter, but it's a little side window to a restaurant, kind of like the pizza window at via Napoli. But with corona, they've either closed their indoor seating area all together, or they've reduced it, so they've started using the window for more than just the Stroopwaffels, so they are only offering this size right now. Otherwise I would have gotten the BIG one. We're only in Arnhem a handful of times a year...I take advantage when I can.

We also went to KFC to pick up dinner, because that's the nearest KFC to us, so we don't get it often. It was a good food day yesterday. Not a healthy one, but a delicious one!

I've never had the ones UA serve, but I'm betting they are the prepackaged ones? Yummy, but definitely not as good as the fresh from the vendor ones that are still warm and dripping with the caramel filling. E and I were discussing it yesterday that Epcot should get a Stroopwaffel kiosk....like the drink carts outside of the pavilions. They could put it over by Germany and Norway. They would make a killing on Stroopwaffels. I've heard a lot of people LOVED the Stroopwaffel McFlurry that McDonalds did, and apparently the stroopwaffels are popular with UA customers. There would definitely be demand for it.
