We are staying at the Aria... I haven't been in about 25 years, and Scott has never been. Right now, All Bar and clubs are closed, but we are not those type of partiers anyway. We do have Tickets for the Jabberwockeez (they were on america's got talent and world of dance) but that could get cancelled.. For my birthday we are going to Hell's Kitchen for Lunch. We also plan on going to the Neon Graveyard (where neon signs go to live forever) and most likely the Mob museum. One of the mornings we are going to take a ride out to the Valley of Fire. A canyon-esc place about an hour away. Other than that, we will just be casino hopping to gamble.

Sounds like a nice trip the museums sound interesting. I wouldn't be opposed to you sharing a mini-trip report after you go. ;) :)

I bought a box of these at the grocery store. Surprisingly, they're very good. :hungry:

(Figgy, these are dairy, so do not buy for yourself.)

We were able to find those this spring and we enjoyed them too. I thought they were better than the other mickey ice cream treats like the premium bar, which is a little surprising for me because I don't normally like ice cream sandwiches.

I hope the winds fizzle out as well and you don't lose power. I always said I was inland enough until Sandy;)

The closest we are to the Gulf is the Port O’Connor/Matagorda Island area about 175 miles away, which is quite a distance to the southwest of where Laura is supposed to make landfall.
Even Galveston (much closer to predicted landfall) is about 215 miles away, so I’m pretty sure we’re good...!!! ;):)

I hope your dwifey's family that lives around Houston will stay safe.

Thanks...!!! :)
Hurricane Harvey (the largest tropical rainfall event in US history) in 2017 didn’t cause them any significant issues, so we’re confident they’ll be fine.
They live in Spring, Texas, which is essentially a far north Houston suburb. BIL works in downtown Houston.

2nd Day of School-

T is still up doing homework, spelling, math, vocabulary, and social studies.

1 report due Thursday-
“About me (T) and my family” - with photos, on a trifold board.

2 reports due Friday-
1. Research paper on the life and customs of the Inca.
2. Book report on I Heard the Owl Call My Name.

Label all folders and notebooks to coordinating classes. Organize bins at home of supplies, take what they need each day. (No lockers this year)

Mom - fill out loads of paperwork and read expectations and curriculums from the 5 teachers this year.

I’m excited for school to be back.. no complaining. I’m excited. I really am excited for school to be back. I’ve wanted this for months. I’m excited. I have to keep repeating this to myself, until I believe it.

Yikes. That doesn't look good, but you said you didn't even notice at first? 🤦‍♀️ (Thank goodness for DWifey coming to the rescue.) ;)

Has the dew claw been much of an inconvenience for Ranger Danger? Our previous dog had one, and I "think" it was removed, because she kept getting it caught on things and it would bleed. It was a long time ago, but I vaguely recall the vet may have removed it. (Maybe it just depends on the dog.)

From what I understand, dewclaws are kind of a vestigial thing, and a lot of people have them removed when pups are young.
We’ve (I’ve :hilarious:) never had any problems with any of our previous playful pups, but, I know of other dogs that have had them cause them problems.
Best just keep my squeak toy ‘til we can get him to the vet for a clipping...!!!!! :hilarious:
