Well...Miss Kylie went to the vet today. Two days ago, she went out in the backyard and came back in limping. It’s kind of weird - other than basically putting no weight on one back paw, everything is normal. She’s moving around remarkably quickly, her spirit is fine, eating, etc. But after two days of anti-inflammatory meds with no improvement, we wanted to get her checked out.

They think it’s torn ligament/cartilage, and will take a long time to heal. Got some different meds, keeping her off her feet as much as possible. She is such a trooper.
Poor baby. My pup has a bad knee, too.

I grew up with my mom referring to that as "the scraper". When, I was at a friend's house I had no idea what she wanted when she asked for the spatula. I tend to alternate between the two, now.
My wife is originally from Asia...but she has lived here since 1999. She asked me what the scraper was called and I wanted to say "spatula"...yet since I knew she'd seen me for 20 years use the "spatula" to flip the grilled cheese ...well I thought that answer wouldn't make any sense. When you are married to someone who grew up speaking with another language, over our 20 years of marriage I constantly notice words in the English language that have multiple meanings. Numerous words!😉

I like the physical therapy idea, I have to find out where we could get that.

Physical therapy was offered at our vet clinic. The therapist comes a couple times a week. Our vet recently put a big addition onto the vet clinic and offers many more services now that weren't offered except for a hour drive away. The main vet that owns the clinic teaches at the University of Minnesota too so she is update to date on techniques.

Thank you! And he just hit the ripe old age of 22. He has been walking around, not believing how "old" he is. I laugh and tell him just wait!
My daughter had the same reaction when she turned 46 in January. She was depressed because she was half way to 92. I told her that I was halfway to 144. She seemed to feel better about her age at that point. Is it just a coincidence that 144 is also called a gross!

Was it a tornado or just a storm cell? I really hate those big storms. Some people love to watch the thunder and lightning, but it scares the dickens out of me. And I think I mentioned it before that my dad's trailer had the roof ripped off when a tornado went through the area and he slept right through it. Not sure if the tornado actually went near his house as he was asleep and didn't realize anything had happened until he woke up to the open sky over his head, but he lived 20 miles outside of the town destroyed by the tornado, so it was surely the same storm system. So scary!
I just looked to see if the papers said what hit the area. It just mentioned uprooted trees, collapsed building, etc. One of my neighbors said his friend is an amateur meteorologist. He checked out the damage and said he thinks it was a microburst. Had another bad storm yesterday that took out our power, but only for a little bit. The internet has not been the best the last 24 hours. It went down again yesterday afternoon.

Serious question for y'all.

Does lightning McQueen have car insurance or life insurance 🤷🏻‍♂️
Life Insurance. Why?

Too many Blizzards at Dairy Queen.

I've never been to Dairy Queen to my knowledge
Car insurance, of course.
Too many Blizzards at Dairy Queen

My DD works there, so, yeah, that might really be a problem :joyfull:

Yes, but you have to start to understand that your obsession with "cooking" borders on the pathological. Most people, and I say this with a certain amount of confidence, would have a need maybe twice a year and the majority of the attention that it would get would be to find a place to store it and not be in the way. Unless one owns a bakery or are "you" the need isn't so great. ;) 😛
It's not an obsession so much as the boys like to eat and I'm cheap.

I forgot to take a pic , but, they put out a whole tray of mini candies on the large table next to the plotter/scanner today at the office...Snickers, Milky Way, Butterfinger, Baby Ruth, Gummi Bears, Skittles, Swedish Fish, Starburst, Twizzlers, Nerds, and I know I’m forgettin’ some stuff...it’s not like it used to be, but, they’re definitely makin’ an effort that they definitely don’t have to, nor is it expected...!!!!!

Poor Kylie. Hopefully she heals quicker than predicted.
