Sadly it's not noticeable... just clothes fit better!
Still, clothes fitting better is a good thing.

ohh, this is poli?
Oh my, you're reminding me of what a nerd I was. Which was okay because where I went to school, the smart kids were the cool ones. Our valedictorians, along with several others, went to Ivy League schools. And this was a public school. Anyway, I never went to a single school dance, not even prom. The one and only time I cut school was for a mandatory pep rally. I was a senior, I had a car, so I left campus and went to...wait for it...the library. I was a sophomore when I took my first AP class; I had 15 credits when I went into college thanks to AP classes. I ended up going to a private college and didn't have any student loans because I got a massive scholarship from them and my parents covered the rest. I was involved, though. Chorus, journalism, and live announcements my senior year, and I did theater my freshman year. But I was there for the classes. Same with college. I mean, now that I'm not in school, there are days when I miss it. I mean, not the stress of homework and all, but especially college, just being in this oasis of learning. And the classes I got the most out of weren't ones that were directly for my major. They were ones like the history of diesease, or phycology, or international marketing; my major was business administration. Now that I'm not in school, I find ways to keep myself learning and engaged. Right now I'm on an American Revolution kick. Which may have to do with Hamilton. Actually, yes, it has to do with Hamilton.School is fun except for sitting in the boring classes. If it was all cheering all day and like preparing for the dances and stuff like that and sitting there and talking with my friends I would love it so much much more.
I do sometimes work on my bed, but mostly I work from my desk. For what I do, I need two monitors and a full keyboard. Trying to work on a laptop screen is annoying. That's another change...I always did homework on my bed when I was in school, but now I pretty much work over at my desk. I sit at my desk sometimes with my own laptop as well.I think if I worked I would want to work from home like on my bed in my pajamas and stuff like that.
Pretty much everyone gets along in my school and there isn't that much bullying which is great. Some of the girls on the cheer squad are really smart. So the stereotype of us being really dumb is not really true. I am not really stupid and I could do so much better I guess if I apply myself more. I just get wrapped up into talking and my mind wanders and there you go. I have been to all of the dances except the Proms which mine haven't come up yet. This year I will have my Jr. Prom. I basically do cheer in the Fall and Winter and in my Freshman Year I played Marty Maraschino in Grease. I pretty much think I got the part because I can dance pretty good. I also tried out for this past years Musical but it was cancelled. Those are the things I do. My hardest subject is Math. I hate it. Science is OK and History and English are even better than Science. I have never seen Hamilton and actually can't wait until it comes on Disney+.Oh my, you're reminding me of what a nerd I was. It's also usually too tempting to go to sleep again to work on my bed. Though I do take naps on my break. And then there was that day my cat Jasmine stole my desk chair and I didn't make her leave...
My life on the forumsI made and posted this meme not long ago, but, I think it may bear reposting/repeating...!!!

Not saying you weren't smart. Plenty of cheerleaders can be smart. I've been to WDW during cheer competitions and have met some very well-behaved, intelligent cheerleaders. And some people who are intelligent don't enjoy school for whatever reason (remind me to give you my "school teaches you to hate reading" lecture sometime). But I was definitely on the nerdier end of the spectrum in high school. I was there to learn and didn't care about much else. And I wasn't a social butterfly either. I didn't go to my five year reunion and don't even keep up with most of the people I went to high school with, and I don't care now. There were also close to 500 of us in my graduating class.Pretty much everyone gets along in my school and there isn't that much bullying which is great. I do my homework on my bed all the time. If that aint bad enough I do it with my music on and even sometimes while talking to my boyfriend or friends. Not the best combination.
Oh No, not say you said I was not smart or cheerleaders. It is a stereotype unfortunately long with other things about cheerleaders too that are untrue. I just really struggle with Math and this year I will be taking Trig. which is going to kick my butt. I just know it. My boyfriend is pretty smart with Math and he will help me so that is good. I don't know what I'd do at school without the social stuff. I think I would hit my snooze alarm on my phone like 20 times because I'd know how boring it was going to be at school just sitting in class all day.Not saying you weren't smart. I do work with two guys who I went to high school with who graduated before and after me, though. Small world.
Maybe? He's still not sure exactly what he wants to doDoes he want to be a Computer Engineer?
I am in the same boat.Maybe? He's still not sure exactly what he wants to do
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!Sadly it's not noticeable... just clothes fit better!
Library or Beach????? Let me see, which one will I choose? Of course the library where all the books are that I am trying to escape from.@StarWarsGirl didn't everybody cut at one time or another to go to the library?
Don't worry. You'll figure it out.I am in the same boat.
So in college you actually change your mind on what you want to do a few times before you actually figure it out. That really isn't what the counselors tell you here. They are like lets figure out what you want to major in. I am like I have no clue I am 16 years old!!! So you are good at Math stuff. Hmmm, good to know. Seriously though as you can probably tell I am a people person so maybe that is my alley. I really don't know yet though. It is good though you found something though and even something to go for in the future.Don't worry. You'll figure it out.
When I started college, I thought I wanted to go into Hospitality management. It turns out I hate people, so that wouldn't have worked. I found out that I hate people when I did a sales internship one semester and switched halfway through to HR. Then I really enjoyed my marketing classes, but marketing careers are really hard to get into going straight out of college. So I took another HR internship. HR is also really hard to get into straight out of college. So after that, I took a contract IT job. I worked two different jobs with that company, and one of them involved a lot of finance-based stuff. I'm now in finance, eventually I want to be an accountant. It's perfect for me. I sit behind a computer screen with minimal human interaction and do math. If you'd have told me this is what I'd be doing when I was in high school, I'd have told you that you were out of your mind. But here I am.
I miss the library. It's still closed. I feel like I've been babysitting this one book forever now...@StarWarsGirl didn't everybody cut at one time or another to go to the library?
