Um . . . that's not quite the reaction, that the writer of the script had in mind . . . :hilarious:

Oh, that’s obvious. It’s fantasy based on a real event. But, she kept it for all those years, and not knowing one bit of what was to come during her storied life, and then just chucks it into the sea 84 years later, having absolutely no clue that she would ever be in that exact spot ever again. She even says the guy she was gonna’ marry put a gun in his mouth after the ‘29 stock market crash...poor, put upon Rose didn’t even think that damn diamond could be used to help people during that time...?!?!?!?!?!
Sorry, again, the more times I see that movie, the more of a mess it is.

I drove by my local nursery last weekend. Parking lot was stuffed, and even though it is outside, the area where the stuff to plant was packed. Even outside, and just driving by, I could feel my anxiety pushing up. Home Depot is always stuffed to capacity. I am not sure where I will be able to pick up a few plants this year, and feel comfortable.

I plan to get some plants next week, I am going to go early at opening and beat the crowds.

Cool! I had the tape. Downloaded some songs from the album onto my phone. I love that we can still watch old videos on Youtube.

Yep, very cool, indeed...!!! :) Nothin’ off the interwebs either, those are my pics of my album that I took this afternoon...even though I played the heck outta’ it, I took very good care of my vinyl, and it’s still in almost mint condition...!!! :)

Hope everyone had a great day. It was beautiful here... we broke the social gathering rules and got together with the family outside on my Sister in laws family farm today for some dinner and socializing. The fresh are was great, and it was nice to hang with my family and feel normal for a few hours!

I found comfort tonight. It was a sweet hour and hope for tomorrow, We are One nation that should not be lead to be divided, we should be indivisible no matter what. Comfort found in our Pledge of Allegiance. I am not lost on the simple of the words of the Pledge. As I go to sleep feeling uplifted I pray that tomorrow will bring a coherent logic for the health of us all.

I want to dream that we find food for all during difficult time. Places for the homeless to wash and go to the bathroom and children to be fed. All Americans during this time being able to access healthcare during this pandemic. I pray that each of can find perspective that yes are gyms might be closed, that sports are suspended, beaches might be closed along with schools, park districts, libraries as all of that is petty and superficial in the greater struggle of our countries struggle to BE WELL.

I say this as my DS yesterday had to lay off 225+ employees that were furloughed. Meaning now not only on unemployment, if they can possibly get through to the agency, they also lost their health insurance. Colbra being $1200 a month. Turn down Colbra disqualifying employees for National Health Care. So uninsured America by design not the fault of the employee. Heartbreaking. I genuinely wish that we find empathy for these folks. It genuinely trumps the superficial Professional Sports in limbo to the kiddy sports, the Fitness Centers closed or the pools that will not open this summer. Empathy to the families that have no where to turn to help their families when only a few months ago were stable citizens and families that had enjoyed the American Dream.

The vast majority of Starbucks are still closed in my state. However, they just reopened one nearby, that is a drive-through -- the line of cars was ridiculous!!! :jawdrop:
We don't have starbucks anywhere near me, but I don't drink coffee anyway, so it doesn't bother me. I can't imagine the lines right now though...so many people are addicted to it and now the only way to get it is at a drive through. No thank you!!
