Looks like that is what it is going to do for now. It still has to come 130 miles inland to affect us here in Raleigh. Thanks for your concern.@Goofyernmost I hope Arthur stayes way off shore

Very nice. How hard was it to make?
I think Rista posted a recipe of that maybe a month ago? (But this thread moves so quickly, I doubt we could find it now -- buried!!!)
Glad to see that old sewing machine was saved. I have an old Singer model 15-91 that thing will sew through anything I got it to make boat seat covers. They don't make them like they used too. My son was so impressed with it he found one on eBay for his wife. Looks like they are moving right along on the rebuildWent to my folks temporary digs for a “distancing” pizza dinner, and then over to the rebuild of “Family Central”...!!!
I was mistaken, the new roof was supposed to be on by now, but, with the t-storms we had for 2 days this week, they got the decking and paper on, but not the shingles.
Also, somehow, another one of pops old sewing machines was found and salvaged.
Some pics of things finally starting to take shape...!!! View attachment 471145View attachment 471146View attachment 471147View attachment 471148View attachment 471149View attachment 471150View attachment 471151View attachment 471152View attachment 471153View attachment 471154
Yea for the saving of the sewing machine If I had to save only one it would be my 1950s Singer featherweight. It's insured but was inherited so irreplaceable.Went to my folks temporary digs for a “distancing” pizza dinner, and then over to the rebuild of “Family Central”...!!!

Salsa is always better after it sits over night@figmentfan423 I forgot to tell you... the salsa ended up fine, it just needed to set for awhile so the flavors all melded together.
You made James' day. Be on the lookout for a box with airholes
