The sun is out, the birds are chirping, and my windows are open. Which is very good today. Today will mostly be a day of what should be happening, but is lost. Today would have been Prom for DD. And it was also supposed to be DS's senior recital. It is a picture perfect day for both, and yet, instead, we will shelter and mourn the could have and should haves. All not so bad, but for young people, just heart breaking.

Fam spent from 9a-12p over at mom and pops sortin’ through the pod and checkin’ out the rebuild. Everyone is healthy, and all were in a great mood...just so very glad to see things movin’ forward at a quicker pace now...was a bit difficult to maintain 6 feet apart at all times, but, we all wore masks and never touched each other...!!! :)

Glad everyone is well, and things are moving along. I find it amazing that the trees look untouched-- at least in the pictures. Can't rebuild those.

If anyone has time to click on this, it’s live now. Great Disney Trivia! I’m at a park, T is riding his bike, I’m watching this I’m the shade for a few minutes after a couple of sprints.

At my Target, they had some bottles of hand sanitizer, BUT, they did not have any alcohol in them, which is the recommendation by the CDC. (They recommend 60-70%.)

Needless to say, I dumped it back on the shelf. It's been about 7 weeks now, and still no "real" hand sanitizer in any of the stores. 😡 (And yes, I've done rope drop in various stores, mid-morning checks, and late days checks -- none anywhere.)

We haven’t seen any here either. Fortunately, DH refilled ours at work and brought it home before this all started.

Mom wants the living room in the same warmth as possible, but, the original beautiful paneling is a goner. It’s a complicated thing at this point. We’re trying to give her her best back in that regard, and pop says he isn’t goin’ to be around much longer, so he wants mom to have everything she needs.
My folks are the best human beings I’ve ever known in my entire life...I (we) are beyond blessed with their presence in our lives for all these years.
The very reason why I don’t complain too much...my beautifully, wonderful, parents raised me right, and are our rocks...!!!!!!!!!!!
