So, I just called my mom and told her. Her response “Don't cry and drive at the same time.” and then.. “These electronics know too much about people. They’re always spying.”

🤣🤣🤣🤣

As a side note, my mom has an iPhone 11 Max, a Fitbit Versa, and about 6 Alexa devices now.. yet always complains about them ‘listening & knowing too much’. 🤣🤦‍♀️
At least this occurrence was probably from my heart rate or something that signaled an alert, not from listening to me.

Has anyone else cried and had that happen?

I had a strange dream last night too. I dreamt that I was living at our town’s library with my dog and I went to check out a book and all of a sudden robbers came in to rob the library . I escaped with the dog and started to call 911 but I saw the robber start to murder people. Then all of a sudden I was at my childhood house And it was 40 minutes later and I called 911 back and asked them why the police hadn’t shown up yet. They told me it was because the police were helping someone who fell off a bike, scraped their knee and needed a bandaid! As the phone operator was telling me that I noticed the robbers had murdered everyone and were drinking tea, I asked them why they were drinking tea and they said they were waiting to be arrested. It was such a bizarre dream.

True story which your dream reminds me of but my parents called the police on a person who was walking in a liquor store with a mask on but the cops went to the wrong liquor store and the guy got away. Not sure if they were ever found but the police did rescue the owner who was locked in the refrigerator.

All, any word on Broadway? I haven’t received any emails regarding our tickets, for July. But I’m now wondering if it’s even possible for the show to still open. They’re obviously not rehearsing right now. I would think a new show would need months of rehearsals.

@BuddyThomas What do you think?

My DD chatted with Disney this afternoon. The room cancelation due to closure had not Shown up as a credit on her credit
Card account.

Was told to expect it after a few credit cycles. She asked for some parameters of a date to look for the money being credited back. Was told Last week in June likely.

American has yet to credit our Airfare back either. These people are lots of work.

Tonight on my non-vacation I am at the MK having a Lime/Sprite Dole Float, with a little extra slipped in.

I so rarely go into the politics section. If I want to debate politics, I can walk downstairs and start talking to my dad. We had an entire debate over the current economic situation yesterday over breakfast. Which I won. It ended in me silencing him. I told him he's not the only one who took college level economics and walked away. My mom stood there shaking her head. 😂

Deja vu of me and my Dad. 💖

@Gabe1 I just read your comment about the donations. Crazy how much this affecting everything. Thanks for sharing, I would have missed it.

To the thread- You all have been invaluable to me over many times during the past few years. I never thought that I could “like and appreciate”people who live in my phone’s browser, but honestly I do appreciate you so much. I’d hate to see this place end (even if I do get placed in Disney Jail often) ;)

I've yet to be placed in Jail though I'm sure I came close a few times. I try to stay out of the politics thread. Dangerous. Have enough stress in my life given life in the US today.

And yes, I missed the Help banner too. If it wasn't for a conversation in the Members Lounge I never would have seen the appeal. Sometimes websites have so much banner clutter that you just don't notice and I did not. As I said I lost some cyber friends from a different site, reconnected with a good chunk some years later on FB page but FB is a different animal than this as is Instagram. We are watching all sorts of businesses close, we know it is possible for this too. My DD a computer science engineer explained to me one facet of security that was needed was a minium of $3000.00 Me $7 a month cheap entertainment. But even if some could find just a little one time it might get the site over the hump. Some will, some won't. Depends on what the site means to us individually daily. I'd be sad to loose so many I've become closer to over the years. Others could take it or leave it.

I just bought masks for everyone, myself included. (Jungle Jim’s just got some, and I’m sure they’ll sell out quickly) Now if only our clients and reps would wear them too. It’s mandatory for businesses to wear them, but not the general public. Which is kind of strange, but I guess I understand why the public is a “recommendation”, not an order.

No, that's not accurate. Inside businesses, associates AND customers must wear masks. The public has to wear masks too, but not until they get to your work.

We have no amazon devices. I turned off Siri on my phone. Oldest will discuss stuff and on her Instagram she will say that an ad popped up that was related to what we were talking about. She knows they “spy”.

I absolutely love talking about politics, current events, and history. It’s funny that some of my closest friends are polar opposite of me, lifelong friends... we debate, no one ever wins, but I do think we appreciate where each other stands, even though we don’t always agree. As long as someone is informed and active, I can always respect it, while fervently disagreeing ;).. though we do usually find at least one political subject where we do have common ground.
I can have friends who have opposite political beliefs, but I couldn’t date or marry someone who is opposite in that regard, it would be too difficult, for both of us 🤣
I learned a long time ago that I'm better off not arguing with my friends over anything important. We can have philosophical debates, but I'm, err, rather passionate, and also, I argue like a lawyer, and I'm generally convinced I'm never wrong, and I don't know who I turn into during an argument, but I'm usually a nice person, but not when I'm trying to make a point...it's just better if you argue with me about frivolous thing, like which Star Wars movie is best, not anything important.

That, and most people should not play Monopoly with me. Quite frankly, that goes for most games, but especially Monopoly. I asked one of my best friends, who I've been friends with since I was 18, recently if we ever played a game together. She said yes. I was like, "Really? And we're still friends?" 😂

So really, there's two things that only my dad should do with me: talk politics and play Monopoly.
