The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

I got word from my principal yesterday that we had to come in between Thursday and Monday and put together work for students that they could complete by April 4th. So I went in today to get that done. I would have been back about 1 1/2 earlier than I was but teachers kept stopping in my room to chat. Don't worry we maintained proper distance. My biggest peeve about the work we were asked to put together is that it isn't to be returned or graded. Part of me wonders what the point is. Tomorrow we are having a Zoom conference call with all staff so hope we get more information about how we are moving forward.

I understand... but hopefully the kids don't know that, and they can do work while they are off and not just laze around playing video games all day.

I am off to my neurologist appointment, in about an hour. I waited to get a cancellation notice, but that didn't happen. My neurologist has a stand alone office, just him, and his receptionist. Just a few people in the office. I need a refill on my medicine, and I could have done that over the phone, or through the pharmacist. However, I am keeping my appointment, since it was long over due. I should have been back there in December. I was worried about blizzards, and cold weather, and instead I get a rainy day, and Coronavirus.

If they wanted to cancel patients, they would. Not every single medical office, etc., is completely tied up with COVID19 patients. Glad you are going and taking care of yourself.

Thank you so much! I am sitting in a restaurant parking lot waiting for my Chicken Francaise dinner to be ready. Many of the trees that line the parking lot are in bloom.View attachment 457396
My wife is getting Fried Calamari and my daughter is unfortunately working the drive thru window at McDonalds. No dine in service allowed anyplace in NJ.

I'm supposed to go to my allergist in a few weeks, but given that this is a respiratory illness, I'm a bit nervous to since someone could go in the office thinking that they're having asthma symptoms and it could really be the stupid virus. I might call them and be like, "I'm healthy, just let me come in when we're not at the peak of all of this." And I'm a doubly whammy of high risk because of the asthma and that other thing I had last year.

I also was supposed to have blood work done and I haven't bothered doing that either, and I'm just hoping my endo's office doesn't notice...we were close with the last results, so I think staying where I am is better than going and risking it at this point.
