So it isn't the actual end of days

We weren’t goin’ anyway, but, definitely not the end of days...at the rate they’ve been goin’ all these years, they’ll probably still be tourin’ 100 years from now...Keith Richards still with a cigarette hangin’ outta’ his mouth during every tune...!!!! :hilarious:
Myself and a coupla’ my buds specifically went to see them at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas in 1981 (with The Fabulous Thunderbirds and ZZ Top) ‘cause there were rumors floatin’ ‘round that it might be their last tour...that was 39 flippin’ years ago...!!!!!!!:joyfull::hilarious:

People will always have various reactions to what is going on. However, I think the sad thing for him is that if he had chosen to stay with the job, (even if it was emotionally difficult for him), he would have come out on top. It would have been a real confidence booster for him. We've all faced some hard situations, but if we can get through them, it's always a growth experience.

Yep, been there done that more than once, especially after bein’ laid off in 2009 and then workin’ multiple retail jobs for 4+ years, from my mid-late 40’s to early 50’s.
Definitely a growth experience, but, don’t really wanna’ go through a lay-off again, but, as always, we’ll do what we need to do.

Since many outside activities have been closed down for the most part, we've been spending more time indoors.

Guess what creature loves this "new normal"? THE DOG. He thinks it's just dandy that we're spending so much more time WITH HIM, he believes. He's constantly underfoot and goes back and forth between us, all day long. 🤦‍♀️

“Jack Attack” of a different kind...!!!!! :hilarious:

Quick survey: What do we think about this? Side note - a few people in my neighborhood haven’t even taken theirs down yet. 😜

Some/many people probably still haven’t taken’ ‘em down yet ;) ...either way, whatever works to bring a little cheer...!!! :)

That's our plan for Friday night to get pizza from one of the bars in town. I suggested it to B today and he asked if we could get onion rings too. We had their onion rings with pizza a few weeks ago and now he is obsessed with them which is odd because he normally doesn't care for them. We plan to order once a week from them.

There is another bar in town that has good food too but we don't eat there a lot but I think during this time we will order from them too. Just try to keep the small businesses we have in this town operational.
I also read on facebook that a good way to support local businesses right now with all the closures is to buy giftcards from them online. As long as you buy directly from them, not from a 3rd party, they get the money even though they aren't open. Then when this crisis is all over, you can use the cards. Just an idea.

\Walgreens for a beer run. Want to guess what other place my dad stops at regularly? And yes, I have told him they will deliver with waived delivery fees.

Walgreens has beer!!!!!

I checked both peapod (Stop and Shop) and Instacart (Shaws - Albertsons) and I find them to be not so good. Shaws wants to charge $99 yearly fee after a 30 day free trial, which the food prices are almost double compared to going in person. Stop and Shop is good, however, they charge delivery. Which if worst comes to worst, the delivery fee doesn't matter in the end.

I don't have Kroger or Wegmans so that is out.
