What's a picky eater?
He only started eating broccoli when we were dating. Probably about 24 years old. He hated vegetables except potatoes and carrots. He will even eat kale now. :hilarious: The younger kids just have issues with sauces sometimes. My youngest prefers vegetable soups pureed except for broccoli. She likes that in pieces. My 12 year old and oldest only want unpureed soups. I think I just made things too easy on them by accommodating their wants. I figure as taste buds change as they get older pickiness will lessen. Luckily I like to cook, and they clean up.

On the subject of picky eaters, T had a friend over last week after school until I took them to b-ball practice...I made spaghetti (regular spaghetti, because the friend wouldn’t eat spaghetti squash), and pasta sauce with turkey meatballs (didn’t tell them about the turkey intentionally), and garlic bread.

Food gets finished and the friend says “Oh, sorry, I didn’t know you were making sauce, I don’t eat any type of sauce.” They were in the room with me while I was making it. 🤦‍♀️
At this point we only have 30 minutes before we have to leave for practice, and the boy says “no, thank you” to every item in my fridge and freezer, including an omelette, grilled cheese, etc etc. He said “Oh, I see a lunchable! I can eat that!”

I felt so horrible giving a kid a Lunchable for dinner, but I really had no choice at that point.

I apologized to his dad when I saw him at after practice pickup. He just laughed and said “we never know what he will or won’t eat on any given day, or time of day”

😂😂. I’ll ask him specifically about every item before I make something next time. I said “what about spaghetti?” which is why I made it in the first place. Lol

We use one for a Sing-along earlier in the day. We had TSMM but the last minute additions to the trip I had to give those up so we can wait in line for it together 😂😂 we have to get to the park at rope drop to try for a boarding group, so i don't have any expectation we'll make it that late, so the other shows are out too. It's no problem though, we've got a fun day planned for my little Princess Vader 😂😂

Is Mickey's runaway railway going to be open yet?

Rude for sure. Most people can have a filter if they wish but some people are just a little slow and can't always help that.
That is true, but it's like I told my one friend who is not the brightest bulb in the pack: she knows it and she asks for help. What really bugs me are people who think they're smart and who do dumb things.

Carolyn and Sarah had the day off today, so they had already set up follow up doc appointments (2) for MIL to take her to down in Houston.
With the exception of a minor UTI, she’s in good health for her age (84), thankfully...got rid of the crazy doc, if y’all recall...!!! :)

My “Hidden Mickey” ;) smoked brisket sandwich from the Southside Market & Barbeque in Elgin that Carolyn and Sarah picked up for me on their way back from Houston, that was so amazingly good it’s absolutely ridiculous...!!!!!!! 🤪:hilarious::hungry::inlove::happy:

You had more patience than I would in that situation. ;)

But then again, kids are kids. Funny thing is, his reactions and responses were perfectly normal to him! :D

Yep ours put up a closing sign about 3 weeks ago.

What I find "interesting" :cautious: is that their online site issues a statement about their business "transformation", while they are in Chapter 11. Said that they are pursuing a sale of the company, and expect business to run its normal course during the process.

Suggest that anyone with a gift card (if they offered those) cash it out fast. 🏃‍♂️

@MySmallWorldof4, @dryerlintfan and @93boomer fire roasted tomatoes and baby bellas were on sale today so as usual I cornered both markets:angelic: Now I have a plan . Tonight the guys got Which Came First Pasta Salad, I had a jar of mayo that was going to expire soon, a few pounds of pasta, shredded carrots, peas, onion, celery, assorted spices, poached chicken{ white wine, garlic, onion, thyme, celery, parsley and pepper) and hard boiled eggs.

I'm confused. Isn't Vegan Hamburger Helper a bit of an oxymoron? Vegans don't eat meat, right? So why do they put Hamburger in the title?
