Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
SW is basically the option from BWI. BWI is a major hub for them. United and Delta don't even have nonstops to MCO from BWI. United's hub is Dulles, so you'll see a ton of flights out of there but barely any for SW.

Not that I can complain. My flight last night was $77. And I can get nonstops to LAX. Plus I like SW.

BWI TSA has always been nice. One of the first times I flew with my grandma, she put a bunch of liquids in her carry on (in spite of me reminding her repeatedly not to). They marked everything except a can of hairspray as liquid meds. Even mouthwash. They were so kind to her. Baltimore TSA and Dulles TSA have always been great. Dulles actually was fantastic. Crowded airport, but their TSA officers were pleasant as can be.

I was at $92 for United out of Ohare, coming back SW out of Midway $88 but tack on a huge Uber to go to the southside of Chicago, it is a long long haul, even Ohare Uber is like $55+ so I factor that in. Midway TSA Southwest is just fine where all things go stupid is MCO.

I only fly non-stop. I can fly United, American, SW and Delta. There are some 2nd grade puddle jumper airlines too but no way in h#ll.

This was me last night after bread service, filet mignon topped with crabmeat and Bernaise sauce, side orders of au gratin potatoes, steamed spinach, and creamed corn with bacon . . . but pushed myself to eat a few bites of chocolate cake, and then cheesecake with strawberry sauce. :p Washed it down with a champagne cocktail. :hilarious:

sounds delicious! What was the special occasion? Early valentines dinner or just celebrating a regular Monday night?

About a month ago I thought of you as I was thinking about who on this forum had a 12th grade "child". Now I read that your dd is an 11th grader. Time will go by quickly I'm sure;)
Oh, I know it will. DS just told me last night he bought his cap and gown for his college graduation. All I could see in my head was his 2 year old self.

DD and I just tend to knock heads. She is very headstrong. I know at times it drives me crazy, but I also know, it will serve her well.

Celebration is debatable -- I've taken up space on this earth and am useless; but in spite of me, another year in my life just passed by yesterday . . . :p
You have joined a large segment of the population or "spacers". I look back on life and think... wow, I really didn't contribute much at all. I do have the one ace and that is my daughters who have already surpassed anything I might have accomplished and they in turn may very well have given life to someone that will change the world.

We may also have helped someone else that we didn't even try to influence that we did just by doing the useless stuff we did all those times. I am a believer in the idea that all of us, in one way or the other, either contributed to mankind or did the opposite. I would think that you contributed. Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY PLUS ONE DAY!

@figmentfan423 Have you ever had jackfruit in a dish where it tasted good? I made shredded bbq with it once and it was awful. I am afraid to try it again, but I noticed that Antojitos at Uni is serving it as a fajita option and in enchiladas. I don't want to spend the money on it if it is horrible no matter who makes it.

omg awful the one time I tried it. Why bother when there are so many better options?

Remember the 80’s where there was that one “health food” brand - I think it started with an H - everything was in cans and kinda gross.

We had the most perfect snow all weekend. Light and fluffy and on the warmer side. It was absolutely magical. We had family over for brunch and it was really amazing being cozy and warm having great family time while watching the snow drift softly outside.

I love this kind of snow
