My district is in a similar boat--or bus, as it were. The high school district has its own buses, but shared between schools. DD has the earlier start time, in seats at first bell. That rings at 7:30. Across the street, they go to a school in the same district, but because of the shared buses, they don't have first bell until 8:15. Not likely to change any time soon.

I have to go to a meeting at the gym today that will be pertaining to the coaching changes. I really don't feel like going. It is scheduled for 8pm. Dh is going to come with me because I really don't feel like driving.
Good luck! I hope it goes as smoothly as possible, and you all get all of your questions answered. Transparency and what will happen in the future is necessary after this mess. You are all owed that much at least

Dude, I seriously thought you were referring to a family pet.

...I'm late.

I did too...!!!!! :hilarious:

I wonder if this is just another “IHOB” type stunt...?! 🤔
Or, maybe it’s a setup for another Super Bowl commercial next year where Mrs. Peanut wakes up in the morning to find him in the shower and the whole thing was just a bad dream, a la Bobby Ewing from “Dallas”...!!!!!!! :joyfull::hilarious:

Ah. My city tried to form an Explorers group (not sure the proper term) and they tried to get me to join even though I was in the Troop next city (Middleburg Hts. Explorers and Brook Park troop). Dont know if they ever actually started one.

The 2 times I went to Philmont, our crews were combined from 3 different local Explorer Posts, and they were made up of guys and gals.
Our IT guy at the office is going to Philmont with his sons troop this coming summer. They did practice hiking this weekend here at a State Park in the Hill Country on Lake Travis. Even though they thought they mapped it out thoroughly, they ended up getting somewhat lost on Sunday and ended up hiking about 4 extra miles out of their way...!!!!! :hilarious:
I had to chuckle because, the first year we went to Philmont (we chose the 3rd from the top toughest itinerary) we ended up gettin’ lost on about day 5, and ended up hiking about 8 miles out of our way...we were only supposed to hike about 12 miles that day and ended up hiking about 20...!!!!! :hilarious:
Based on what I posted below, we calculated that we ended up hiking about 120 miles that trip, but, when we got back to base camp, we all had legs like speed skaters...!!!!!!! :joyfull::hilarious:

I jinxed our team the other day here. :(

We just had a player quit. Everyone’s shocked.

We only have 9 players so I’m thinking they’ll move a kid up from a lower level team. Spring Tryouts were held in November so it wouldn’t be someone from another club. Unless there’s a waitlist, but I can’t imagine anyone at this level not being committed somewhere else by now. Spring training for outdoor season started 3 weeks ago. Maybe waitlist for lower teams who could be move to them if one of their players moves to ours.

Wow. I hate to see people go. I really like the boy and his family. T does too. I haven’t told him yet.
