Why would you put salt into cookies![]()
Even with the regular butter, the recipe I followed also lists a tiny amount of salt to be added.
I'm buying cookies next time.

Paging consultants: @figmentfan423 and @Mr Ferret 88 -- Question: why do some cookie recipes call for unsalted butter, versus regular butter? This drives me nuts. I never have unsalted butter (who uses that?!). Luckily, I found a (McCormick's spices company) recipe that listed normal butter. So if the cookies can be made with normal butter, why don't most (if not all) recipes just defer to that -- as that's what most people have in their refrigerator.
(Oh, Figgy, I included Mr. Ferret 88 in this post, because he always has unique insight into everything in life. )![]()
I believe it is called YAG laser vitreolysis!I hope this will fix your eye problem. I will have to mention this procedure to my stepdad. He has floaters also and had cataract surgery about 4 years ago as well. Do you know the exact procedural name?
Without salt you will die a slow, agonizing death... that's why! Suppose you get stranded someplace and only had cookies to eat. You'd be damn glad that they had salt in them. Why would you put salt into cookies![]()
I was hoping it stayed north of you. I couldn't even see my garageThey were a nightmare where I live last night. Dh had to drive home in one and he said it was blinding at points. I was at the gym for youngest’s cheer practice til 8. Squalls atrted around 6:30/7. Cars got covered pretty quick and the roads iced up. People were saying there were accidents everywhere. Parents were late picking up their kids. I took one kid home with me and met her mom closer to her home so she didn’t have to drive all the way to the gym after she had to get her other daughter from a youth group. I was glad I had 4WD last night.
X2Its a much safer option.
The pet rock is making a comebackJust went out to get some firewood and about slipped on the back porch stairs--- we had a heavy frost last night Temp is 29 degrees. Chia pets since 1977-- wouldn't you like to be the person that came up with that idea. So many of these ideas come and go (pet rock) but the Chia pet keeps (growing) going
We are waiting until Friday to watch part 7.I haven’t watched it yet. There are still more episodes upcoming so it is only a cliffhanger for a week, right? I cannot take cliffhangers that take months to get resolved, or never like with the 90201 reboot.![]()

No spoilers but it may have been the best episodeWe are waiting until Friday to watch part 7.
I agree. Some recipes don’t need a lot of salt so you use unsalted. And those of us on bp Meds only use unsalted.

I don’t use salt at home so when we go out to eat, I don’t have to worry as much how much others cook with it.I use unsalted everything as much as possible - add a teeny bit of sea salt (less "salty") if needed, and it's all good.
And if i was stuck somewhere cold i could use the cookies to thaw the iceWithout salt you will die a slow, agonizing death... that's why! Suppose you get stranded someplace and only had cookies to eat. You'd be damn glad that they had salt in them.![]()
