The required list of awful side affects of those drugs makes me wonder how effective they are are at all. I sometimes feel that they are marketing to the group of people that are always looking for their sickness du jour, then they request a specific drug that was advertised. The everyday lay person has no idea about drug interactions or have training in what might or might not cause them problems due to pre-existing conditions, etc. It just seems that the market consists of MD's or hypochondriacs.
The one that makes me scratch my head is one that we shall name "George". The warning at the end says do not take "George" if you are allergic to "George". Duh! The question is how do you know if you are allergic to "George" until you have taken it? Ah, good old Catch 22!
