O.k. I've been checking the news reports since 4:30 this morning. It's 6 AM, and there still is no decision on whether the Macy's Thanksgiving Day balloons will fly! Stupid winds -- hope they die down. All the balloons are inflated and ready to go, but are still on standby only. Plus I'm really looking forward to the newest balloon, Green Eggs and Spam.

I recall one year that they let a few of them fly much lower to the ground. Hopefully, all will be able to fly high above today. Fingers crossed.

I bought an apple pie yesterday. Thought we'd eat it tomorrow after we return from the restaurant from Thanksgiving dinner.

Um ... pie is gone already.

I was going to make apple pie this morning. Then I realized that apple crumb would be easier. Made it at 4:30 this morning. I should say prepared it. Just need to put it in the oven. Also prepared veggies for a veggie pot pie. It is going to have a topping of black pepper biscuits.

It is super windy here in PA. We are expecting 50 mph wind gusts. I assume the balloons will not go. But never assume anything.

As of now I can hear the winds howling, I'm glad nobody is traveling up here today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's bad out but should calm down in time to take the boys to do their shopping

Good Morning! Spent yesterday evening making sure my over the air antenna was getting NBC good... so I could watch the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade this morning, and then part of the dog show at noon before we leave for my brothers house.

We ate at 2pm... dinner was good.. but my sister in law was stingy with leftovers... so the only leftovers I got were the hawaiian rolls I brought, and the some of chocolate chips squares I grabbed that my mom made!

Restaurant meal here -- huge portions of turkey and all the fixings!! I took the rest home and there is enough for another full dinner tomorrow!
