I don't have to feed an army :joyfull: :joyfull:
My usual run starts at Aldi, then onto Wegman's (cheapest prices on carrots, coconut milk and carrots) then to Target cheapest price on soy milk, then Walmart, then Sam's. Most of the time we can skip one or 2 of the stores. Sometimes the run is BJ's, Aldi, Target and Shoprite all depending on my list for the week.

I go to Aldi for staples, then hit Giant Eagle or Kroger for any specialty items I need (like this week I needed cinnamon sticks) and I also like to check for "clearance" salads, veggies, and fruits. A is even trained now to look for the manager's savings stickers :hilarious: :hilarious: Yesterday at Giant Eagle she got really excited and shouted MOMMY THERE'S A STICKER ON THE WATERMELON SO WE CAN BUY IT!!

My mom did the same thing with me. I learned to go to the clearance aisle of KB Toys when we went to the mall to look for Barbies. And I knew at the grocery store that I could ask for something if it had a yellow sales tag.

As a result, I have learned that when you go to DSW, you should head for clearance first. 😁

That was really interesting.
I'm glad you took the time to watch it. I can't stress enough how often my wife stops at Aldi on the way home from work and tells me "look hon, I got all this and I only paid ___ " At least now that I've watched the 7 minute video I know how Aldi accomplishes what seems like a financial miracle! o_O:happy:

Yes, clearance first! Always! Sometimes I'll still buy the cut up fruit, but generally speaking if none is on sale, we're getting the whole melon or nothing. You can get a whole cantaloupe for $2 but they slice it for you and suddenly a quarter of that amount of fruit is worth $3.50

No Aldi around here, but we do have a great (regional) choice in Market Basket stores. Very good prices, high quality and tons of variety. :) There are 4 other market chains around as well, but they're usually higher in price and not necessarily any better at all.

@ajrwdwgirl , I think you mentioned (maybe last year) that you like watching Dancing With the Stars. This season they had some really outstanding talent -- it was tough for the judges to pick one couple. Happy to see that Hannah Brown (former Bachelorette) and her partner, won last night! :joyfull: And did I also hear a rumor that she's going back on the Bachelorette again, in a new season, tba?!

I am constantly in awe of how many details some of you on here remember <3 I would need a spreadsheet to keep up with you!

My kids have been trained from birth also about sales and cheaper prices. My son would be found mumbling under his breath when he was about 7 saying “Save money, live better, Walmart. “ Would crack me up.

I was watching earlier this season. The fact that Sean Spicer stayed while people who could actually dance irked me. And then Hannah Brown, while a talented danced, drove me nuts. I can't even put my finger on what I don't like about her, but I just don't like her.

Oh, the Sean saga was painful, and some better dancers were let go -- because some voters at home voted for him, due to his former political job. Even the judges were becoming vocal about it. Thank goodness, he finally got voted off. As for Hannah, I had watched her for the entire last season of The Bachelorette, and got to like her from that show.

I did an "Aldi's location" search and there is an Aldi just north of Boston:
Fellsway Plaza in Medford Mass
Is that anywhere near you @MinnieM123 ?

No. And part of the reason why, is that my state is so congested -- traffic is horrible everywhere. I don't go outside my local city to shop for groceries.
OK....and I wouldn't expect you to. Yet from Boston to that supermarket at 2:30am.....how long would that take if everyone was in bed and conditions were ideal?
