Oh he’s not sick but when he is he can be really pitiful acting for days even if it’s a cold. But yesterday he comes home and expects me to be back to normal already-even though I constantly was blowing my nose and coughing. 😟
My mom had bronchitis and a sinus infection. She went to the doctor and or antibiotics. Anyway, last week she barely had any voice. So my dad came home from work, and says, "Let's have a sing along!" Needless to say, she did not go for it. I may or may not have laughed.

Today I want to sing the praises of the ALDI Supermarket chain of stores. Google says they are in 35 states....1,600 stores. Hopefully most of you have one in your area.
Last night my wife and I stopped in and got eggs, dinner rolls, orange juice, cereal, and another 4 or 5 items that I can't recall. At my regular supermarket I would guesstimate that the two very full tall reusable paper bags we filled would cost $23 or $24.
Yet at ALDI those two bags of stuff came to $13.89
Just amazing how much we can save a month by getting milk, bread, OJ, eggs and fruit at ALDI instead of Shop Rite! ;)

I interviewed at Aldi at one point. The manager was rude and looked at me like "Just leave now. You ain't getting hired".

I just watched this 7 minute video and learned a bunch of ways ALDI runs their business wisely....the reasons they can sell quality food and products for less than other supermarkets. Check it out!

Good gracious. I have two adult kids that Graduated college and survived without me shadowing them. I had the confidence that I raised them well and could let them go and explore life. I viewed my job as Mom was to raise my kids until adulthood (18) and let them fly. It was a mutual respect that went both ways. We are a close family because we had that mutual respect of boundaries. I never tried to cripple them as young adults or impose myself into their new adult life. I can't grasp the inability to let them go and explore being a young adult. *Bangs Head*

Rant over.

What happened?

I somehow caught up!! :hilarious: :hilarious:

We're doing a family Christmas on Thanksgiving. My brother and his family are coming up from Cincinnati and we're going to exchange presents and have a ham feast. We're starting the morning off with a two mile Turkey Trot though. So far A's personal record is 37 minutes and 15 seconds for two miles. There's a lot of stopping to explore during that time, though :joyfull::joyfull:

Nice savings. We have an Aldi by us. Yes, it is cheaper in price than our regular supermarket. They just don't have a large variety of goods. But their organic sliced cheeses and hummus are half the price as the supermarket, so we purchase those there as well as canned goods.

I love Aldi but it's definitely a two store shopping experience. I get whatever I can from Aldi and then I hit the normal grocery store.
