My Disneyland AP expired this past Tuesday. I'm already sad. It didn't help that before it expired I got an email with a countdown clock, counting down the days/hours/minutes/seconds until my pass expired.

Disney...
They know how to pixie dust folks ‘til they’re fork-tender, and then they stick it in ya’ and twist...!!! ;)

Those types of thoughts are not even in the mind of a 71 year old. I play golf almost every Saturday with both my sons in law. On the third hole is a small plaque on the ground with the name of a guy that, as he was taking his swing, collapsed and died. That's how life is. He didn't drive to the golf course that morning thinking... 'for something different today I think I'll drop dead right after I finish the second hole'. He was about my age, but even though my mortality is in my thought processes a lot more then it used to be, it just all seems a lot more like that is what happens to other people, than that could be me.

Believe me, I don't know why I am still here, I certainly never did anything in my life with the thought of extending it and in many small ways it is all starting to catch up to me now. I am still puzzled why people who took care of themselves and were doing everything they possibly could to prolong their lives are now gone and I remain to make everyone around me miserable.

Yep, bottom line, any one of us can be cut off like a light switch at any time...heart attack, stroke, car wreck...DRT (Dead Right There;)).
But, I don’t intend on spendin’ the rest of whatever time I may have left worryin’ about when that time will come.
I’m still surprised I survived my late teens to early 20’s...man, we were some crazy *******...!!!!! 🤪:hilarious:
I believe a lot of it is in our minds. As I’ve posted before, my parents are 80 and 87 and they still make the Energizer Bunny look lame...!!!!!!! :joyfull::inlove::happy:
They may go before me, I may go before them...it’s all a carp shoot...!!!:D;):)

Thank you.
Yep, I’m only 57, and not even remotely close to ready to want to cash it all in yet...!!! ;)
My dad got lucky when he was your age. He is in his 60s now and his heart specialist is happy with him.

He flunked a stress test just a month and a couple weeks after leaving Disney back when he was 57. My dad wanted to do a weight loss program for losing weight, but the doctor wanted a stress test done first.

It was found out my dad needed triple bypass and was a matter of time before getting a heart attack. If he didn't get the stress test, he'll be dead from shoveling snow or heavy lifting.

I think the only reason my dad didn't get a heart attack at WDW was because was Soarin' was the closest thrill ride he and my mom did.

So happy your dad is o.k. :inlove:

My third at the craft beer bar by my new store. It’s called “low hanging fruit” and is a 5% sour strawberry.

My first was an Italian stout made with - wait for it - cannoli & chocolate. 🤤

There was a second in there somewhere.

B is here, we came over with a great customer and split a flatbread.

Waiting for the sign guy to get the electric work done. Tomorrow I’m chilling a bit!
