I have to wonder why fashion designers hate women so much. Those are the types of things that many people would pass by and then nudge the person next to them and say "Did you see that". I know that almost none of those things make it in the real world, but, man oh man. Really?

Sometimes I'd agree with your thoughts, regarding (some) of the designs that fashion designers create. Doesn't bother me that much though, as I'm not their target audience. I don't buy many clothes as it is, and I only buy classic styles that transcend time (for the most part).

However, that being said, I do view quite a lot of fashion design as an art form. Even if I'd never wear certain styles (even if I had the money for designer clothes), I still really enjoy seeing and admiring the creativity in style, fabric, and fit. So, speaking for myself only, I'm very happy that @BuddyThomas shared the creations from the design students. Always nice to see different things. :) Thank you, Buddy.

Don't get me wrong, I am fine with him sharing those. I just think the entire concept is an exercise in elitism and fat shaming. Not necessarily what was shared, but, that part of the fashion world.

My daughter and her friends are going as Piglet, Pooh, Eeyore etc for Halloween. My daughter is going as Piglet. If my daughter wanted to hold something, like a prop, what are some ideas? We don’t have piglet, but have Eeyore. Might be too big to carry. Piglet is sometimes seen with a yellow flower. What about a tote bag to hold candy? What would be clever? It’s her bday so it’s fun to go over board in a tiny way. Her trick or treat years are numbered!

Piglet loves acorns. You could put some in a basket and carry them, assuming they're around where you live.

Just watched the video. I loved Reflections of Earth. It had so much meaning to me. I would pretty much cry every time I watched it, especially for We Go on. I appreciate that they used loved attraction music. I wish the would have used the original singers though like for Figment. The kid voices did not do anything for me. My favorite part was the Tapestry of Nations. I loved that parade. The music was just beautiful as was the parade. That was probably my favorite. It was so original. This show really did nothing for me in the end sadly. Maybe you had to be there to appreciate it more? I am sure the kites would have seemed more spectacular in person. On screen it was lacking the wow factor for me. Glad you enjoyed it though.

I don't think the new show after Forever will hold a candle to Reflections. I missed Tapestry of Nations even thought Epcot was never meant for a parade.

As others have said, most of those pieces aren't meant to be worn other than as maybe costumes. Just because I could never ever fit into those designs doesn't mean that I don't enjoy looking at them from an art perspective.

Although it wouldn't kill fashion designers to put pockets on our jeans that actually have some function.

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.

Jordan Fisher? I think he's fine. He sings the version of "You're Welcome" during the credits of Moana. He doesn't do anything vocally atrocious; his voice might just not be your DS's fav.

But the singer in Illuminations....ugh. Listen to every time she sings a word ending in R. You can hear the r as she's holding it out. Ugh. No. The r goes on the end. She needs to drop her jaw, round out her tones, and work on her breath control.
I will have to listen to it more carefully.

@93boomer ...or anyone else. Since my daughter is in 12th grade, I know we are able to start the FAFSA application. Oct. 1st it opens up. Yet is there any immediate hurry? Does it have to be done before the month is over?
Go to the fafsa.com and put in your state and what year she is going. It is different for every state. This will give you deadlines.
I think my DD did hers early to see how much aid she would get before deciding on which college she wanted.
Hope this helps. Good luck!!! Exciting times ahead!

My mom always waited until the new year to make sure income and all was adjusted properly after my dad had his W2. This would still allow you to take @93boomer 's tip if you did it in January or so. Most colleges don't announce financial aid, including merit based, until about that time.

I believe February 1st is the deadline.
