30 year high school reunion this weekend! :jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop:

Homecoming game tonight, school tour tomorrow morning, party tomorrow night and family picnic on Sunday. So far we have had 150 register. Should be a good turnout. Looking forward to seeing old friends. Below is a picture of me, my friend Jim and my car from before the homecoming football game 30 years ago. It does not feel like 30 years!!

My mom was supposed to have her 35th tonight. I almost said 40th, but then reminded myself she's not 58 yet. 🤣 She opted not to go. I think she's only been to the 25th

I didn't go to my fifth reunion. It looked like there were people being intentionally discluded. They sent out the invites through Facebook, which made sense because no one thought to put it together until December. But rather than taking a yearbook and finding names, they only included the band kids, the kids who were smart and Ina bunch of APs, or somehow otherwise in a popular group. I fell into the smart group; I was in a bunch of APs, plus involved with music, the newspaper, and on the live announcements. One of my friends, who was kind of on the fringes but was clearly on Facebook, got excluded. I didn't like that and opted not to go. I really didn't have much desire to go to it anyway. Maybe for our tenth reunion if we all get invited (she's marrying someone from our graduating class who she met, oddly, in college).

I don't think my High school class had any reunions despite graduating in the 20th century.

At the same time though, I'm embarrassed of what the school system I went because it became much worse. The school system is one of the worse 20 school systems in the entire state of Wisconsin:arghh:.

The high school I went to got worse since my younger brother graduated and is one of the failing schools the school system has:facepalm:. The only good thing about that High school I graduated from is the fact it is more ethical than a different high school in the same school system:jawdrop:.

@Goofyernmost , in case you haven't seen the new thread up on N&R, apparently WDW has a new system for renting ECVs, etc., and you have to wait to meet the mobility vendor delivery person at your resort. (I realize you went to UNI, but just thought I'd mention this new thread, as we were all just discussing the issue you had over at UNI with getting the ECV.)
Disney had a list of 4 places that they endorse for scooter rental. And have had for years. They are for those that need one both in the parks or at the resort. I don't know what the protocol is for meeting up with them at Disney, but, at Uni they just delivered it to the hotel and then got out of dodge. I suspect that Disney does the same thing. Probably what caused the problem I had. One year when I had rented a villa offsite and needed one for a family member, they delivered it to the door of the Villa. To be honest that was one of the things that depressed me this trip. 11 years ago when we needed a scooter I was able to fold it up and toss it in the trunk of my car like it was nothing. This time with all the extras taken off like the battery and external basket and I needed help to lift it and put it in my trunk. What a difference a few years can make. The ones you rent in the parks cannot leave the park. I understand what you are saying though and I will see if I can find the thread. Thanks!

Thanks. Almost sounds like mini-cities -- they seem to have everything on site, then. :) Down through the years, I've heard of something called a "P X" where military can buy things at reduced prices. But aside of places to live there and restaurant(s) or cafeterias, I didn't realize they had medical facilities. I just assumed if someone needed a doctor, they'd drive them off-site to a regular clinic, or a hospital if an emergency.

See, I learn something new here on this forum every day!

The cool thing is that Shades of Green has a PX shoppette. During my trip last week we got liter bottles of water for $1 each!!

I graduated 31 years ago. It really doesn’t feel like that much time flew. I just think music has gotten worse. Nice car.

I went to my 20th, but didn’t see the need to do any others. I am good.

Never heard of the show. Looked it up though, looks interesting. Was it good?

Yes, I enjoyed it. The first few episodes were a little confusing with remembering the characters.. but then it was great.
Only complaint is that I wish it would have gone one more season. Didn’t wrap up all of the storylines to my satisfaction.

However, I recommend watching it!

@dryerlintfan and @figmentfan423 I was talking to our new guidance counselor at school today about WDW and her husband is in the military and when I mentioned that there was a military resort she was pretty excited! They aren't planning on going for awhile but when she does I might have some questions for you.

Sure thing! When they're ready to go, pm me and I'll shoot you my email address for them!

Never been to any class reunions and don't ever plan to go.

That may or may not be true, but the fashion sense has gotten better.
I miss the neon colors, rolled up jeans with oversized tops/sweaters. The socks that you scrunched down, and the Reebok hi-tops. I wasn’t a fan of shoulder pads and would cut them out if any of my shirts had them. Ripped jeans from the 80’s are now back in fashion.
