I am such a steak and potatoes girl... I am very much anticipating dinner at LeCellier in December, but I am so torn on what to order... I want the filet, but not with the mushroom risotto, but at the same time thing the Coffee rubbed Kansas cut sounds yummy too!! What should I do with for all you steak experts out there???

If you want the filet they will let you sub in something else for the shrooms...I think I had mine with their mashed potatoes.

Anyhoo, another vote for the Jiko filet with mac and cheese...heavenly! :slurp:

If you are a steak and potatoes girl, go with the coffee rub. The mashed potatoes served with it are great. The fillet is great, but I find the dish too heavy.

HOLY STEAK! did u eat all that!

DH is the steak guy and he prefers a ribeye, but he says the char-crusted black angus NY strip at Flying Fish Cafe is the best steak he has ever had (other than mine of course:animwink:)

I gotta say the New York Strip at Le Cellier was insane!:slurp::slurp::slurp:

I also tasted the flank steak at Kouzzinas and that was reeeeeeeaaaaalllllly good too!

In May we'll be making our way to Yachtsmans, so we'll see if they can beat Le Cellier.:D

I just ate there last week. According to my server, the ONLY thing they allow to be subbed in is the cream cheese mashed potatoes.

Of the places I have had steak at WDW

Buffalo Strip at Artist Point.

I also have to say the Tenderloin with pureed sweet potato at the South Africa F&W booth was guite good. A Tenderloin that actualy tasted like beef - amazing.

The filet at Chefs is far better than anything at Le Cellier these days.

And as mentioned repeatedly in this thread, the one in Jiko is fantastic.

I haven't eaten at Shula's - or the Yachtsman - so I can't compare either to those.
