what if we did this?...

Start three separate new threads for the major new additions that will have everyone talking? Something like these;

1. Paint The Night - Post your reviews, videos and thoughts
2. World of Color Celebrate - Post your reviews, videos and thoughts
3. Disneyland Forever - Post your reviews, videos and thoughts

Why not just let this thread keep going? It's not too specific about any one topic like the previous thread was, it'd be easier that way so that everything's in one place instead of a bazillion different threads, does that make sense?

I'd suggest making the three threads mentioned, as well as keeping this one alive for overall 60th discussion (any new announcements, status of the PPF refurb, thoughts on the 24 hour event, etc)

That way there will be threads dedicated to spoiler-filled discussion of the new shows, while still offering a place where those trying to avoid spoilers can stay (ie the expectation of spoiler tags, much like what happened when HBG made his appearance).

Looks like they fabricated new false roofs to match the others. They probably decided to axe those plastic spire ponchos a while back and were just waiting for these to come in.

I've been thinking gang...

We started this thread a few months ago to track the news and installation of 60th stuff in advance of the party. But in a few days the 60th will begin and it will be time to close this thread down. @raven24, @GiveMeTheMusic, @sponono88 and all the others who have been so helpful with news and links and chat, what if we did this?...

I think those are the three things that people will really be talking about, and will want info about, so when old and new folks come to this board they can find what they're looking for and we can keep the discussion flowing easily.

I imagine there will be discussion about the new Matterhorn and some other 60th stuff, but we can just let those topics get started on their own. But I think the three new entertainment offerings will generate a lot of discussion and photos and videos, and it might be wise to start a new thread for each. Sound like a plan?

Are the ice crystals still there? The junk is a horrendous idea and looks really out of place. The ice effect is really cool though.

I don't think it is out of place. It is the fate of the many travelers before you and now you are next in line for the mountains wrath!

The ice effect is my favorite too.

Really don't like the clutter. The ice crystals/Wells Expedition setup was much nicer and more whimsical. Clutter is clutter, just like the Mansion attic. I don't get it.

I don't mind the new AA at all, but I wish he was a little more fantastically designed like the old Harold. New Harold is distinctly ape-like and more...dare I say it...realistic (if you know what I mean).

The lift hill effect is cool.

How is it out of place? I see one or two Skyway buckets and two old Matterhorn sleds. I don't see how they're out of place.

The junk and extra emphasis on the abominable snowman seems like an attempt to make the Matterhorn be a smaller version of Expedition Everest.

Can't wait to see everyone their early Friday morning!! This will be my first 24hr event and my friend's first visit to Disneyland. Soo excited to celebrate another big birthday at Disneyland. Will be starting it out at the El Captian showing of Tomorrowland Thursday night before getting inline for the big day!!! It will be a truly magical day!!
