Trip Report The “No Trip” Trip Report *COMPLETED*

There are pre-trip reports.

There are trip reports.

I’d like to welcome you to what I believe might be the first “No Trip” trip report.

My name is Tuvalu. Ok, that’s not my real name (it’s not “Shirley” either 😉) but it’s how I’m known here on WDWMagic. For the past six years I have contributed a lot of trip reports in this forum. A lot! Along the way I have met so many wonderful people and made new friends, some of whom I have had the privilege of meeting in person. Honestly the reason why I write is for you, the reader, because I cherish our interactions. (Getting to re-live my trip is just a bonus!)

My husband Woody, my daughter Em and I were supposed to be leaving for our Spring Break trip to WDW tomorrow. Of course we are sad we cannot go (and our doing our part to keep ourselves and others safe) but remain confident we WILL get to go back sometime in the future.

I had been contemplating going “live” for our trip. Woody and Em are not fans of my reporting “live” since my attention is diverted from enjoying vacation with them. However this idea for a “No Trip” trip report came straight from Woody himself!

So for the next week, if you‘d like to Journey into My Imagination and read about what could have been, I’ll be here.

She saw WDWMagic's tweet that the Park Pass reservation system had opened, she logged on at 8:30 am and by 8:50 am she had reserved park reservations for our July trip and for trips Woody and I are scheduled to take in August and November.

I had logged on shortly after 7 am and lasted 20 frustrating minutes before deciding it wasn't worth the effort this morning.

We know WL (non-DVC) won't be open for our July dates. We hope to be switched to either Copper Creek or Boulder Ridge. If not we have a back up plan which I will share if we need it. Having secured the park reservations was today's priority. I will call to modify our resort reservation another time.

Yay! I just came on to see if you guys got reservations since I need to get my Disney fix somewhere. Two trips cancelled this year (Tokyo and WDW) and international travel does not seem to be on the horizon for us this year so I will live vicariously through others. Although I admit I was happy not to be pounding the site this morning.

I'm stuck on Cinderella's castle pic for attempting to make park reservations for our September trip. Luckily I can just keep it up in the background while I work today. Did everybody get what they wanted park wise?

I made it past the pink castle, to the space mountain countdown, only to be lead to a blank screen. Five different times. I’m pretty much ready to give up for the day. This is not worth it.
I got fed up with that white screen and completely closed it down. Then, waited a minute and pulled it back up, and it went back to the white screen. Then, all at once, it came up to the sign in screen, and I was able to get my park reservations.
