So, now that we're more or less on the same page, @goofyyukyukyuk17, do you want to set up a PM with you and I so we can hammer the ridethrough out without taking up a ton of space in this thread? Also, have we solidified a concept for the queue and ride system? Just so I know where we're starting with the ridethrough.

Yeah that sounds good to me... @DashHaber any initial ideas on the queue? Ride system... I mean, trackless makes sense to me even though it might be cliche... any thoughts @AceAstro ?

What if we started on a track like a standard dark ride, but go trackless as everything else progresses? Another reflection of increasing complexity and development
That would be a fantastic way to portray that progression physically. Obviously it would have to be trackless the whole way through, but even having something like a busbar for the first part of the attraction would be amazing, and would allow for a really cool reveal when the vehicles eventually break from that.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking... maybe Ace can figure out some of the tech stuff better haha?

I love this progression of technology theme we have going on!

I love this idea!

Having it be trackless the whole time but appearing to be a busbar at the start is really cool! It allows us to make yet another transition so that when we get to that scene, it is just sensory overload and a must re-ride to catch everything!!

I will have to think about how this would look more and get back to you. Trackless are built on a smooth surface and with busbars they have a raised guide track in the middle so I am not 100% sure how we could simulate that so it fools the average guest while still performing as trackless.

The only thing I can think of is it is a fake raised park and any pressure pushes it down (think a fake Hollywood movie knife. Designed to look solid but very much isn't) but I don't know if a trackless car could get over it or if it would stick to it

This may sound stupid, but what if we just put a slit on the bottom? If there is only one way for the cars to go, they'll all follow the same mathematical approach and should never actually touch the fake busbar.

That would work well. Even if we had busbars on the side that look like they're railroading the vehicles. I definitely think that a retractable center busbar would work well as well. I think the real question is where the sensors normally are on trackless vehicles.

Reading into them more, it appears that there are sensors in multiple places for redundancy and safety sake. "railroading" the car may work but I think I want to look into the possibility of having the retracting middle bar. I think if it could work right it work look really cool and fool a ton of guests not knowing what the ride system is

Any specifics for load yet? Just so we have a starting point. I'd also suggest separating load and unload, especially with the ride system effect.
If we are still going with that title screen you had mentioned earlier that guests would pass through at the start of the ride, I was thinking that the loading area could be one of the screening rooms at Kinograph Studios...and have that area be in black and white. That way, when guests unload later at an area that resembles the exit of a soundstage, that portion would be in color.

That works totally fine for me. Goofy and I should have a more solidified list of everything by tomorrow so one of us can let you know if something drastically changes with the first scene, but a screening room should work perfectly.

I also like the idea of having load be fully black and white. Maybe the queue and slowly fade in color before turning fully black and white for load?

That was one I was thinking. Have it be a gradual transition that, as guests get deeper into the queue, more and more color fades out until they reach the black and white load area.

I found a nice Google Slides template to use! Started putting some parts together to get a feeling of the finished product. Feel free to edit the slides, I've given everyone permission.

I put everyone's names next to their work to make it easier for the judges and jury to know who did what.
