We'll need to change the part about the Clayton actor being the jester, and try to get the timelines figured out... around what time are we wanting the other poisoning to happen? Right when the first wedding is disrupted by Lyla leaving? And to be clear, we're killing Andin off right?

Just thought of something even crazier. Sir Clayton comes back very drunk but overjoyed to now be heir. As a celebratory gesture he sips the Corvon Wine, having not been present for Andin and Matthias's deaths. So
  • King Henry dies peacefully in his sleep, passing the inheritance to Andin
  • Prince Andin is poisoned, passing the inheritance to Lyla and Matthias
  • Princess Lyla escapes, passing the inheritance to Matthias
  • Lord Matthias is also poisoned, passing the inheritance to Sir Clayton
  • Sir Clayton unknowingly poisons himself, all within two minutes
There is now no one left so the lords all meet in the center and realize the Court Jester is a distinct cousin of King Henry, so they have to crown him king.

I love it!

This feels very Adventurer’s Club to me. It’s dark and sad if you think about it too much, but it will be played up for comedy and would end up being a ton of fun

Last crazy ending change... what if it turns out that a visitor from the Wayward Isles was related to King Henry and is crowned as the new king? The only thing would be figuring out the wedding aspect... it could be that King Henry was related to both the jester and the visitor, but on a technicality, the visitor is slightly closer related than the jester. So the Jester marries Penelope's younger sister (because Penelope would be viewed as cursed, her fiancee killing himself minutes before their wedding), and a visitor is crowned the King, sits on the throne, and gets a souvenir crown or something? I don't know if that's pushing it too far... the castle magic could dismiss everyone, and the cast could identify someone who wasn't too intoxicated to negatively impact the performance. Just a thought; we could go with the jester being king and also marrying a Rowen to make it simpler if you want though

Go ahead!

So one part we should at least address (although the judges have emphasized they don’t want this to be the focus) is the drinks and food. I know @ThatGuyFromFlorida expressed interest in this early so maybe you might want to do this?

Keep in mind this is a bar so the majority of things on the menu should be drinks. A few sides but mostly drinks. It would be helpful to have someone of drinking age work on that (I’m under so I really have no idea what’s good and not).
Yeah, I guess, though I too am under drinking age.

Sorry I haven't been active, I was busy last night and this morning, but am now back to normal. I love this! It would add audience interaction while also being really funny.

@PerGronStudio , how would you feel if we combined Lord Andryr with Sir Huet? We've done a great job brainstorming, but we have so many major characters at this point we should probably try merging a few for realism's sake. I feel like both would combine well -- we already sort of have the angry knight with Prince Clayton, so if we made just "Lord Huet" he could be a very introspective, sad former knight who seeks to regain his honor by doing the right thing. By the end, he unveils his father's poisoning plan and redeems his honor, allowing him to remove his helmet.

I love it! Now that I’m sober today (for now) I was looking at it and those two characters were a tiny bit redundant, so this works out better

Is Lord Huet still Duke Corvon’s son?

Yes, both Andryr and Huet are Duke Corvon's sons. By combining them we'd have the Duke only have one son (or at least only attend the wedding with one)

I've created a logo. Instead of calling it "Eladore" or "Eladin" which would make the most sense for the world, I suggest the simple "Enchanted Palace" to appeal to Joe Normal. Although, I have taken liberties with the subtitle 😉

I’m good with calling it the enchanted palace, but I still think the kingdom should be called Eladore... the attachment isn’t working though
