I always spell that wrong!
Haha I feel that!
So I’m thinking tonight it would be nice to have our story, timeline, and characters relatively finalized so that tomorrow and Friday, we can work on concept art/presentations... the drink menu doesn’t need to be done as quickly because that’s something that can be added in to the presentation after it’s written. I’ll try to get those house backstories up sometime today/tonight.

My suggestion for the Timeline:

TIMELINE
8:00 PM (THRONE ROOM): The Club Opens with the First Welcoming Ceremony.

8:00 PM -- 11:45 PM (MY DISNEY APP): Using the Disney App, search around the castle for secret clues of its magical origin, and how Princess Lyla can escape the wedding. Princess Lyla and her attendant, Gabrielle, are very rarely seen throughout the night, only at big events. The rest is spent backstage, where guests can randomly hear audio of her talking in the room beyond. However, she is very present in the overall narrative as any guest using the Disney App to uncover the Castle's Secrets will find themselves helping her escape.

8:05 PM -- 8:20 PM (ATRIUM): Trader Koro-San introduces the Marvelous Musicians From Across the Water, who perform African Tribal Music in the Atrium. All the characters first gather here to dance.

8:20-8:30 PM (BANQUET HALL): Prince Clayton and his friends -- Bary, Chris, and Ford -- welcome you to their exaggerated rendition of how his Lord Grandfather sailed across the Emerald Sea and took Eladore from the Eladins. But they will need some audience assistance to tell the full story. The characters treat this like a Monty Python skit, fake horse riding and all. After the show, the four soldiers head down to the Wine Cellar.

8:30 -- 8:50 PM (BALLROOM): Learn how to Ballroom Dance.

8:55 -- 9:10 PM (BANQUET HALL): Duke Corvon and his son, Sir Huet, teach us the legendary tale of the Serpent Underneath the Corvon Castle, who would deceptively defeat all his enemies with a single, sly bite. The story is told through puppetry.

9:00-9:20 PM (DRAWING ROOM): Cards tournament, hosted by Sir Charlie Rowen, Prince Andin Hugeon, and Lady Ira Belmont. Lady Ira spends the time creating witty remarks on Sir Charlie’s failures.

9:25 PM (BACKSTAGE): All major characters leave to “prepare” for the Tourney. In reality, they go back to the Throne Room to redo the Welcoming Ceremony, a second time.

9:30 PM (THRONE ROOM): Second Welcoming Ceremony before King Henry.

9:35 PM -- 9:45 PM (GARDEN): The King’s Band plays in the Melee Tourney Area, encouraging guests to come to the stage.

9:45 PM -- 9:55 PM (GARDEN): The Melee Tourney. First, Prince Clayton battles Sir Bartholomew, who comedically loses on purpose for his egotistical prince. This advances Clayton to the final round. Then, Sir Kristoff faces against Sir Jory Belmont, who surprisingly defeats Kristoff and advances to the final round. Now it is time for Clayton vs Jory. After a long and close battle, the underdog proves victorious, besting the mighty prince and giving a rose to Princess Lyla (which creates suspicions regarding the identity of her secret lover, all which is a red herring). Clayton storms off to the Wine Cellar.

10:00 PM -- 10:20 PM (ATRIUM): Heir apparent to Eastvale, Harland Harthorn, performs a musical number before the Atrium. This ends with an argument between Harland and his father.

10:20 PM -- 10:30 PM (ASTRONOMY TOWER): The quirky Merlin the Inventor, head inventor of the Castle, allows us to directly partake in his latest experiments.

10:25 PM (ATRIUM): Duchess Lucinda Westley has an impassioned impromptu speech about women’s rights. This in turn encourages Lord Howland to choose his daughter as heir, rather than his son who wishes to join a musical trope.

10:30 PM -- 10:50 PM (DRAWING ROOM): Charades tournament, hosted by the same as before. If you attended the prior tournament you will now be the subject of their mockery, being a “usual”.

10:35 PM -- 10:50 PM (BANQUET HALL): Johnny the Ventriloquist invites everyone for a laugh.

10:55 PM (BACKSTAGE): All major characters leave to “discuss” the wedding, now just an hour away! In reality, they go back to the Throne Room to redo the Welcoming Ceremony, a third and final time.

11:00 PM (THRONE ROOM): Third and Final Welcoming Ceremony before King Henry.

11:00 PM --11:10 PM (BALLROOM): A Classical Variant of the “Line Dance” is held, with many of the characters attending.

11:10 PM (BALLROOM): Prince Clayton arrives from the Wine Cellar very drunk. He makes a huge scene with Sir Jory, accusing him of cheating when this is obviously not the case. Prince Andin escorts him backstage, and does not return until the very end of the night.

11:15-11:30 PM (BANQUET HALL): The Court Jester arrives for a comedy routine. This is actually the actor who plays Sir Clayton, now that he has been removed from the show, he changes costume into a new persona (and cut costs for hiring new actors).

11:45 PM (THRONE ROOM): All guests make their way to the Throne Room, as rooms are slowly closed off. Everyone must arrive for the Wedding at Midnight.

11:59 PM (THRONE ROOM): The Wedding between Princess Lyla and Lord Matthias Rowen. Lyla escapes with the help of magic in the castle.

12:00 AM (THRONE ROOM): The Nobles desperately try to crown a new king while everyone eligible gets into a sudden habit of dying.

@Outbound I just finished entering the app stuff and updated the finale to explain the logistics of choosing a guest monarch. I don't think the timeline you posted is the same as the one in the doc... we also might need a time for an argument between Archbishop Ponswick and Minister Dunne somewhere that isn't a central location?

@PerGronStudio I tried to combine Andryr and Huet but I think it's still a little clunky... want to take a look? Also, do you want to write more about the backstory of the House of Corvon and Corvana? You can check out any of the other houses and see what Outbound and I did with them to give a little more insight into the different areas. Also @Outbound , do you think there should be a write-up about Hugeon/Taria?
I see these as being the historical context that guests can learn about for each house by scanning the banners in the Banquet Hall with the Play Disney Parks App.

I’ll take a look at it and add a bit of of history

Scanning the banners is a great way to include the lore!

Concerning Taria, I imagine it as a disunited collection of city-states. Very much like Italy in the Middle Ages. Noble families hold significant influence in corrupt democracies.

Somehow the Hugeon Noble Family was discredited and exiled from Taria. Then after a generation or so Henry Hugeon realized his bloodline granted him the potential to claim the Eladin Throne, and the Eladins at the time had done a really poor job managing so it wasn’t hard to gain the backing of House Corvon, Belmont, and Harthorn. Henry sailed across the sea (hence the shark) and landed in Eladore for war.

Love it! I'll add that!

I'm trying to think of what else needs to be done other than the drink menu... we could always use more concept art, but that's not super critical. I think our story is pretty much done as well as the description of Eladin. Unless @Outbound has any other ideas, I think our only big thing is the presentation, which he can probably explain better than I can... basically we're wanting to describe a night at the bar from the perspective of a guest, so if you want to make one of those as well, that would be cool!

Yes. So I'm thinking, myself and @goofyyukyukyuk17 are going to the Opening Night of Disney's Enchanted Palace. We are giving a trip report for WDWMagic. If @PerGronStudio is active tomorrow and Friday he can also come. We can alternate describing the events of the night in hourly segments. So for instance

  • Initial Post Starting the Thread -- Contains the Bob Chapek Letter, Concept Art, Description of the Rooms, and Brief Explanations of the Major Characters
  • Then I post as a Disney Blogger describing 8:00-9:00 at Disney's Enchanted Palace. After describing the opening ceremony in detail, we watch Koro's Music Band kick off the night with a blast. At 8:20 (when Koro's Band stops playing) we watch Prince Clayton's rendition of his father's conquest, which gives us an organic exploration of past events in the story. Instead of going to the ballroom dance tutorial, we follow Clayton down the Wine Cellar, get a drink from the menu, and listen to some stories and uncover some secrets. We then decide to open our app and find Princess Lyla needs our help in the library, so we start uncovering some riddles, but @goofyyukyukyuk17 would prefer to watch the puppet show so we split up.
  • Now Goofy describes the events of 9:00-10:00. Goofy describes the puppet show which explains the Covorn's backstory. Then Goofy watches the end of the cards tournament, getting a chance to introduce us to Prince Andin, Sir Charlie, and Lady Ira. Keeping this more vague so you can focus on whatever you'd like in the timeslot. Meets back up with @Outbound for the Melee Tourney and it is described in full.
  • Now I describe 10:00-11:00 (or PerGron or ThatGuy if you are available, if not it's cool). We listen to Harland's music for a while, discovering his backstory and witnessing a fight with his father. Then there is an impassioned speech for feminism. We miss the Astronomy Tower but that's okay, it just shows how much there is to do. We focus back on solving some riddles, getting drinks, and watching a silly ventriloquist show.
  • Now Goofy describes 11:00-12:00. We head back to the Wine Cellar and see Prince Clayton is still bitter about his defeat, we then follow him up and witness the big argument. We watch the Court Jester, finish the riddles in time, and prepare for the Wedding. The finale is described in full. Then there is a short "overall, it was really cool" speech that finishes the presentation.
Btw, I think it would be really humorous if our descriptions get progressively slurred to simulate getting drunker through the night.

Sounds great! I think whichever one you think will be the most visually impressive! We could also add meads/ales/wines to round it out maybe? I don't really know much about it, just thinking of period stuff haha
