Wow, you're out for a few hours and this happens? Eh, Infinity War was worth it.

I know next to nothing about any of these parks... My home park Six Flags New England isn't present and Six Flags Great Adventure (the only other six flags park I've been too) is also not on the list.

I visited Dorney Park for a day five years ago, though, if that counts for anything?

I think it does lol

Honestly - if there is a legitimate interest in Carowinds -- I'll change it out with Kings Island (which has not gotten any traction)

This is desiged for you to do the parks YOU want -- and parks that are rarely covered in these comps...so this is your shot.

Haha. No worries. Just messing with you. I honestly haven't set foot there in 15 years so.

It's too late - it's done :hilarious::hilarious:

It wasn't the only mention of it -- and actually the Disney ties out of the three options that were cut I think fits the best so we'll keep it in there!

It was very Disney-like many moons ago. Not sure now but it had a mine train, log flume ride, Hanna Barbara land with a killer kiddie scooby doo coaster. Plus you get the joy of standing in two states at the same time.

Not that we're going to start brainstorming immediately but from what I can see?

- Magic Mountain
- Kings Dominion
- SF Discovery Kingdom
- Carowinds

are the picks?
That indeed seems the growing consensus.

I'd still love to hear from our silent players first before we go ahead, especially anyone else who might have intimate experience with any of the 8 parks on the list.

If you've been to any, let us know. If you're wholly unfamiliar with these parks, let us know. I'm putting together a list of veterans and novices in order to fine tune our vote and our workload.

Day One Recap

We're discussing the 8 parks available. Still waiting to hear many players' thoughts.

Our hope is to have our 4 park choices made by tomorrow evening (preferably 2 Cedar Fair parks and 2 Six Flags parks). Present top contenders are CF's Carowinds and Kings Dominion, and SF's Discovery Kingdom and Magic Mountain. (CF's Cedar Point and Dorney Park have their backers too.)

Also trying to figure out who's intimately familiar with these parks and who isn't - this'll help with our final 4 selections, and with divvying up the workload. Hopefully each park veteran can head up their park’s mini-team.

Anyone who hasn't replied and knows any of the 8 parks really well, please let us know! It'd be awesome if we had 2 Castle park vets and 2 Brava park vets.

Park Veterans:
@Voxel - Kings Dominion
@TheOriginalTiki - Discovery Kingdom
@Disney Dad 3000 - Carowinds (spotty expertise, actually, but he's 20 minutes from it)
@D Hindley - Magic Mountain

Hello everyone! This is...quite the challenge!

Apologies for not being here last night...may or may not have decided to dip over to Disney overnight:p

I too have never been to any of these parks. Though I think I may have watched a POV of one of the coasters on YouTube at one point, so I’m kind of an expert :cool:

Lol so yea I’m going to need to look into the parks and research a fair bit to figure out what we’re working with, so for now let’s make sure we get our choices in soon. 2 of each sounds good to me if we want that. Perfectly balanced...the way all things should be.

Okay Avengers, it seems half of us know some of these parks, and half are wholly unfamiliar.

I propose we do pair-ups of the experts and the novices. When I get home I’ll work out a list of both.

So, who knows these parks? Who doesn’t?

I know many of them.
I grew up going to Six Flags Over Texas and Sea World San Antonio but that's my limit going to parks outside Disney and Universal

Side note: does space just lurk around here constantly refreshing? lol
