Day One Recap

We're discussing the 8 parks available. Still waiting to hear many players' thoughts.

Our hope is to have our 4 park choices made by tomorrow evening (preferably 2 Cedar Fair parks and 2 Six Flags parks). Present top contenders are CF's Carowinds and Kings Dominion, and SF's Discovery Kingdom and Magic Mountain. (CF's Cedar Point and Dorney Park have their backers too.)

Also trying to figure out who's intimately familiar with these parks and who isn't - this'll help with our final 4 selections, and with divvying up the workload. Hopefully each park veteran can head up their park’s mini-team.

Anyone who hasn't replied and knows any of the 8 parks really well, please let us know! It'd be awesome if we had 2 Castle park vets and 2 Brava park vets.

Park Veterans:
@Voxel - Kings Dominion
@TheOriginalTiki - Discovery Kingdom
@Disney Dad 3000 - Carowinds (spotty expertise, actually, but he's 20 minutes from it)
@D Hindley - Magic Mountain
Like I said, I grew up going to Six Flags Over Texas.

Updating @D Hindley Park Veteran's List

@Voxel - Kings Dominion (Long Family HIstory with park, grew up there and last went a two years ago)
@TheOriginalTiki - Discovery Kingdom (I believe this is his local resort and his stomping grounds)
@D Hindley - Magic Mountain (Currently doing Recon ie an Annual Passholder I believe)
@Disney Dad 3000 - Carowinds (Spotty expertise, hasn't been in a while but 20 mins away from it)
@mickeyfan5534 - Six Flags Over Texas. (Grew up going to the park)

Oh my. I missed 10 pages of brainstorming during prom last night. I’ll read through everything right now! One thing I see is - yes I love the DCEU! Also, my home park is Six Flags Grear America in Gunter Illinois!
Another park that I know a lot about would be Michigan’s Adventure which is owned by Cedar Fair.

I definately think that the reason that six flags are so successful are because of their coasters - no one from my school goes there to ride “The Dark Knight”, which is a Batman dark ride disguised as a Mad Mouse. In fact, everyone hates that ride. We go to ride Superman, Goliath, and all the big coasters. Also, the Justice League 3D shooter that they had was very popular for its first summer, but now it’s badically a walk on (this can be attributed to a lot of it not working well, and the fact that everyone goes there for the thrills )

Actually, I recant this statement. My friends and I will do the attraction if there is a short (under 30 probably) minute wait. It’s just Six Flags need to learn how to do maintenance - it always breaks down, one gun doesn’t work in the car, etc.

Good morning Avengers.

Thanks for the additional feedback! So far it seems we have experts on every one of the 4 Six Flags parks, while the only Cedar Fair Park represented is @Voxel for Kings Dominion. (@Disney Dad 3000’s Carowinds knowledge is scant.)

@IDInstitute and I want a 2/2 balance between SF and CF if possible. Is anyone else here familiar with Carowinds, Dorney Park or Cedar Point?

Alternately, I am able to sub as a Cedar Point semi-expert in place of doing Magic Mountain. As a last minute way to achieve galactic balance.

Fun isn't something one considers when balancing the universe. But this... does put a smile on my face.

Yup, I visited Dorney Park for a day a couple years back. Some limited research could jog my memory for sure, but I'd definitely need some back up if we'd use it.
