Tangled restrooms opening date

Indeed. Whilst show quality continues to collapse and attractions continue to have effects not working...

Exactly, and it shouldn't be an either, or, situation. These type of additions should be expected, it's the Disney difference. However, when the Disney difference is essentially disappearing all around WDW, this type of thing just seems silly. Therefore, it insights 8 pages of jokes, rather then 2 pages, of nice jobs.

I think the reason everyone is making all these tongue in cheek comments is, the fact that these bathrooms are the biggest addition coming to WDW in 2013. That is funny. Regardless of how well themed these toilets happen to be.

Exactly - people would be complaining if they just added toilets that you would see at concerts - the toilets should fit in with the theme - and these toilets seem to do that well.

The problem is that this year's additions are MyMagic+, Princess Meet and Greet, Adventureland Game, Disney Jr character replacements and these toilets - that's it. If we were getting an actual attraction, then all you would see on here is people saying how nice they look...

In their defense, they did just open the "largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history" two months ago.

Which was built on land that used to be used from 1971-1994 (apart from Pooh's Playful Spot), and is (at the moment), a ride (which already has broken effects), a meet and greet, a restaurant, and a shop.

Fine, I'll change that to "if we were getting something like Transformers, or HP2.0, or Antarctica, or Imagination 4.0, or Beastlie Kingdomme, or Mysterious Island, or fixed Everest's broken effects, or ..."

The Fantasyland Expansion (as is), is basically our version of Universal's Springfield. And people would not be complaining/have been complaining for years about the Fantasyland Expansion, like they are with the Tangled Toilets, if something like any of the above attractions were being built alongside it.

Nothing says going to the bathroom in paradise like the New Fantasyland/Tangled area. It would be nice though if they would have complimentary newspapers to read and flat screen tv's to watch like in certain restaurants to make it a great magical experience whether you choose the "to go" option or the "sit down" option.

It looks great from what we can see. But Disney still could have cheaped out - I hope I don't walk in opening day to no stalls, just toilets. ;)

Oh my, those pictures of the Tangled area look worse than I feared.

It is a complete misfit with the rest of that FL area. The 'real life' Bavarian hilltown clashes with the 'storybook cartoon' Tangled area. Dreadful.

This area already had hills, streams, waterfalls, a forest, a fountain in the village square. Moreover, it formed a thematic whole, had unity in design. Now it looks unhinged. Like those second rate amusement parks in Europe that desperately try to emulate a Disney park but never quite get it right.

I wonder what movements they will choose for the opening ceremony for this wonderful area. I would absolutely drop the kids off at the pool so I could go! I really hope they don't charge extra for this event, It would sure take a load off my mind if it were free.

..... Theyre having a press event, right?

A Parks Blog meetup is more likely since they are moving towards the more social media type crew. You know post pics on Instagram and praise the bathrooms on facebook ordeal. Although if a press event were to happen, Lou Mongello would be involved and I might be interested in how that would play out.

Not to diminish the overall point, but Princess Storybook Hall (or whatever the M&G is) is opening this year and is certainly more notable (you could toss in the Pirates interactive game in Adventureland as well). Again, it's still sad that those would be the "big" additions for the year. In all of WDW, right? I can't think of anything else slated to open this year.

To be technical, the BatB stuff is on previously backstage land.

I would hope that Mongello gets to use the facilities before anyone else, followed by Wannabe Lou, since the two of them are so full of (what you get rid of in said facilities) I think it would only be fair.

Maybe they can take turns asking questions of Phil Holmes who can sit in the middle stall between them. Imagine the MAGICal possibilities. I'd hope Jeff Lange was shooting video of the whole meet and ... ya know.
