Strands of Rapunzel's 70 ft. long worth of hair will be used for wiping purposes.
The image this sentence gave me in my head is soooo gross. Lol.

Also, amusingly, I was talking to several people this past weekend about what was behind the construction walls. Most people got that there was Rapunzel's tower but then most people thought the rest of the area was going to be Sleeping Beauty themed. Her cottage. Perhaps a M&G with her at the least.

None of them, shockingly, were excited when I told them all that was behind there was very pretty bathrooms. They all seemed to be hoping for something more...

This area already had hills, streams, waterfalls, a forest, a fountain in the village square. Moreover, it formed a thematic whole, had unity in design. Now it looks unhinged. Like those second rate amusement parks in Europe that desperately try to emulate a Disney park but never quite get it right.
This bathroom area had an unused building and Skyway tower foundation. I think it is now an improvement

I suppose compared to that yes... But did it have to be bathrooms?? Like I said above, most people seemed to be expecting it to at least be a meet and greet or even something involving food.

I think it was stated earlier that these new restrooms replace the ones adjoining Peter Pan. This will free up the area for a first class upgrade for the current, depressingly long 'snake line'.

Am I missing something here? These are restrooms correct? Most of Disney is visually stimulating and the details are incredible, but unless Rapunzel is going to swing from the tower by her hair and hand me toilet paper, I just don't understand all the excitement centered around a restroom.

You've got 11 pages of people going back and forth on that topic you can read to catch up. :D Seriously though... these are more than just restrooms in the sense that they are also going to feature the new recharging stations for both humans and their devices. Greater though is the fact that Disney is finally putting this much detail into the little things like they always used to. That's the reason you'll see many excited. It's not excitement at the actual restrooms themselves so much as it is excitement to see them putting that much thought and detail into even the smallest things.

Agreed. This is theming where many wouldn't expect theming. It's the extra effort that hopefully reaches all corners of DisneyParks - every little step counts.

Theming where people wouldn't expect theming, but also where I wouldn't expect the theme. Until they put some trees/something there, it's quite jarring to see Rapunzel running around next to the Haunted Mansion. Unless she's a ghost?
