To be fair, I was concerned that the Tangled Area would stick out like a sore thumb from the old Alpine Village, but it seems to work from the photos I've seen and it looks like there was an effort to make some visual linkages.
For example, the bell-shaped parapets echo each other in the adjacent old and new sections (far left and far right of this:

http://s231432788.onlinehome.us/lotion/pics/SS20130308-WDWMK/big/P01-5.JPG). The trees help as well and hopefully will really grow in over the years (helping obscure the Tower from LSQ).
I also see architectural linkages among the other 3 sections you mentioned. For example, The Wall is a visual/thematic bridge (as well as a divider) between the Old Courtyard and the Fantasy Forest (as it is a part of both) and also links the new forest area to the original Cinderella Castle centerpiece. Another example: the Circus area uses the same low boulder-wall elements (

As an overall environment, I think the new Fantasyland as a whole is marked improvement. Changing out all the tournament current and future tournament tent facades would be a great thing, but I won't hold my breath.
