I feel that way about Italian meatballs in sauce, done in the crockpot. Everybody loves them … Spenser could eat them for days on end, but I only ever think about making them New Year’s Eve.

Open box (or bag) of meatballs, dump in slow cooker. Pour one full bottle of Diana Sauce on top. Fill empty bottle about 1/2 way with water … shake it … pour that on top. Set it and forget it.

We went to Clingmans Dome. A moderate hike to the peak. Moderate hike, my behind! Worth it though.
They have a no pets allowed policy, but we’d read online on a blog somewhere that dogs completely in carriers were okay, so that’s what we did. Multiple park rangers saw us and either smiled or nodded.

Always thought that was a thing out west.
We had neither breakfast nor lunch today, so an early supper it is. Burgers, sausages, and salad.
On our way to Clingmans Dome, we knew there was a Krispy Kreme, so our plan was to get something there. It’s closed!
I’m not sure if what the reason was, but in Canada, donut shops were just about the only business to make it through COVID unscathed. (When restaurants were closed for months and months on end, everyone picked up Timmy’s and had porch visits or parking lot meetups.)

Fun fact: Orlando also has a black bear problem. So much so that I had a friend who couldn’t let her kids wait at the school bus stop for fear of a possible bear attack. The tear through trash cans, get into people’s pool enclosures, etc. Seems crazy but it’s true - just google and lots of articles will come up!
Love the photos! No matter how far away I travel, every time I see the Appalachians, my heart tells me I’m home.
