I mostly use the IP for beans, rice, yogurt and sometimes soup/stock as I can use frozen meat. I've been known to have all 3 of my 8qt going at once.
Even though I consider myself a cook (and many people say I’m a good one), all of those things come out of tins or tubs in my kitchen.

I don’t have time to make those things from scratch.

Ha! I feel better.

Walking up that last half mile of the mountain, I had to stop in one of the lay-bys multiple, multiple times. I’m in pretty good shape when it comes to walking.

Mike just read that all of the rest stops are there because the air is thinner, making it harder for unacclimated people to breathe. At an elevation of 6643 ft., it is the highest point in the Great Smoky Mountains. By contrast, my hometown is only 814 ft.

at my place if I cook the spouse does dishes and when its their turn to cook they order takeout/delivery
My spouse, although he can cook, will sometimes try to get away with that.

As an example, this past weekend was my birthday. Therefore I would definitely have the night off. Around 5pm, he started looking at the online takeout menu from our local pizzeria restaurant. We were undecided (if their eggplant parm was consistently good, it would've been a no-brainer, as I love eggplant but don’t cook it, but the last 2x I ordered it was only ok) When he was actually considering spending $16 on a cheese ravioli entree, I got out the bag of Costco spinach & mozzarella ravioli from the freezer, whizzed up a tin of diced tomatoes (thanks again, Costco!) into a no-cook sauce, and dinner was on the table in (wait for it) less than 30 minutes. On mah birthday.

If that doesn’t deserve an 🙄, I dont know what does. 😎

It's not so bad doing it with the IP besides dh is on a restricted diet and all of us have allergies so I don't have much of a choice. At least I don't roll my own pasta except for gnocchi, wonton/egg roll wrappers and once in a blue moon corn tortillas but the boys have been pricing out pasta rollers:cautious:

I tried making my own pasta once, close to 40 years ago when this Irish girl started dating her Italian-American fella.

It was a pure disaster. 😂
