Taking Baby Bo to Pigeon Forge - a Live JenniferS Trip Report (7/23 - 8/8)

Another great day. Up by 8:00, as seems to be our new usual. It got real hot, real early. 90° for most of the day. I have no idea what the “Feels Like” temp was.

After we were done with the repair guy (approx 2 hr. job), we finally had lunch (all of the “breakfast-y type leftovers heated up on the Blackstone), and then we went swimming for a couple of hours.

There was a nap in there somewhere … caught up on how the MLB Trading Deadline all shook out, watched the first three innings of the Jays game, and then went to The Island.

Watched the Bellagio-type fountain show from a comfortable rocking chair. I didn’t bother recording the synchronized music show, as last time FB yanked it for copyright infringement. (Oops, my bad.)

We grabbed some dinner at the Mellow Mushroom. It was so good. Best meal so far!




My Greek salad (no tomatoes or olives):

Jays were in the thick of it for Soto. I’m just as glad we didn’t get him. He would have cost too much. I’m not ready to part with any of my 5 or 6* core guys … at least half of whom we would have had to offer up in the trade.

Best Italian in Gatlinburg. That's the actual name, Best Italian. The original location in Elks Plaza. Try a pizza there and some garlic rolls. You will soon discover it couldn't have been named more appropriately.

I’m pretty sure the Greek salad was intended to feed two, maybe even four … or one very hungry JenniferS.

(It looks a little blah without the pop of colour provided by tomatoes and olives, but I don’t eat them, so I’ll sacrifice the presentation of the photo to avoid accidentally eating either.)

No. She doesn’t even acknowledge anyone or anything unless they come right onto our campsite. It’s funny how she knows our boundaries.

The two families across from us are rather obnoxious, on multiple, multiple levels. And that’s all I have to say about them … as it’s equally rude to talk about people. Dogs are dogs - they’ll only do what you allow them to do.

Last time I was having those as a snack, Kansas City was taking a Brady beating in the Super Bowl.
The time before that... probably back in highschool years during a Christmas party in the 90s.
Not sure why those are such a seldom snack, they are tasty.
